Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Multiplayer Trailer

Whoa no way, they actually put in a portable active denial system gadget? Actually looks pretty fun so far, and the graphics are good enough. Definitely going to have to jump back into CoD with this one. Still dont like the fact that everything seems to rely on aiming down sights though.

EDIT: I take that back, I see they added some standard aiming kills later in the trailer.

I was very LTTP on the game and only started playing after both xpacs were out on PC. I only played to ~ lvl35 and it felt almost like a barebones playlist even though it wasn't. Maybe it was dumb luck.

dunno bout pc, but on the 360 it actually was like that for the time I played, because so many people were running support or specialist killstreaks. take out EMP and stealth bomber from support and it would've been perfect.

Holy shit did someone say Iron Sight bolt actions are back? OMGBG.

YES.gif

Now make better maps then MW3 and its a deal.

Pretty sure I'm the only guy on earth who liked the MW3 mp more than any COD mp since MW1.

Netcode on PC, while P2P, is the best on my very high ping internet. Hell, NBA 2K12 won't even let me connect, but MW3 I can play and it feels like console levels of latency.

I also dug how it never seemed to be raining killstreaks.

No man, im with you. MW3 is excellent.

Here's what I noticed.

-Variable fire rates for weapons
-Stun knifes
-Scope that allows player to see through walls briefly
-Possible shielding
-Dives
-Deployable turret that pushes enemies back?
-Los Angeles map
-Remote controlled drone
-Tactical shields with the ability to be placed in the ground
-Mechs with the ability to exit and thus be stolen
-Tomahawk
-C4
-Kamikaze drones
-Possible gear customization, or defined equipment look for different classes
-Spectator mode
Sounds vaguely like Blacklight: Retribution.

lol THE FUCK. You're way off. Treyarch is the one that know how to design maps. IW are the ones that do not understand basic concepts of design.

Way off on my own opinion? c'mon now.

Last time I checked most of the TreyArch maps didn't have anything as dense, tight and vertical like MW maps. I think they are poorly built and realised. They can't build their own engine or even do a decent port to PS3 of an old IW engine. I think this carries across to the maps and gunplay.

imo.

Oh is that what thing was? Awesome.

lmao at nuketown 2025

anyway it looks like the focus this time is on toys and abilities to make it even more annoying to actually shoot people with any kind of real skill, so meh, I'll wait for reviews/impressions

While it's neat to see a wide variety of weapons, perks, and killstreaks being used in these trailers, it's a shame it's never representative of the end user experience. The first few weeks of a new COD are always fun, as players are experimenting with the weapons and killstreaks, but once the more powerful and useful ones are discovered, all the others tend to fall by the wayside, leaving a handful of weapons which are used 90% of the time.

I'm willing to bet that the pushback killstreak featured in this video will be hardly used by players, aside from those attempting to grief or grind challenges. Maybe the solution is to scale back the game to focus on a smaller, but more useful, set of weapons, perks, and killstreaks.

Here you are talking about too many killstreaks and you want the great equalizer removed? Yeah, no thanks.

Zombies! I forgot about zombies! :D. Hope they do something to make later rounds a bit more interesting than: Get crawler > spend 10 mins trying for weapons > survive > crawler.

well they added easter eggs. Moon has a really difficult one where if you pull it off ( i never have been able to) you blow up earth. Really awesome game mode that gets no love for some strange reason.

How are they gonna handle Attack Dogs this time? Lasers mounted to their heads?

you become the dog.

are we arguing about who makes the best maps? i guess you guys need to play cod4 again

I personally had favorite maps from each EXCEPT MW3. It got to the point with that game that I'd play a Underpass 24/7 from MW2 over the maps in MW3.

Yes. Was not a fan of it.

I do tend to agree with the people who think the killstreaks should be toned down, my feeling is that none of the kills from rewards should count towards the killstreak.

I agree, Blops had a lot of great maps, while MW2 only had a few, and MW3 seemed to have no good maps at launch IMO.

That is not how it works in MW3, having a better connection in that game did not help, the game adds artificial lag so you don't become a super soldier.

Let's see this game handles the connection issues.

I consistently had my worst COD experiences with MW3, just instant death coming from all directions, yet in COD4 and BLOPS I nearly always scored in the top 3 with the best k/d ratio. Now this might be more a function of the awful MW3 maps or the fact that I stopped playing it after 2 days, but I just didn't find it fun at all.

I think MW3 was the tipping point for me in never playing a COD game again. Although it looking okay, I just can't invest in this series anymore
