ITT posters fail to remember the simplicity and quality of Call of Duty 2 - The most balanced and skillful of the lot.
MW2 is still the best COD.
It's a modified Black Ops engine:Yep.
The HUD for this game looks fucking slick. I like it. Has it been confirmed that this game is running on the MW2 engine? Because it looks way better than the last two Treyarch CODs. I'll wait for more info before deciding on purchasing this game, of course (will be the first non-IW COD I'd even consider buying), but if I can finally get my sequel to MW2 I'll be all over this shit.
Pretty much.I've bought every CoD game since Modern Warfare. They might have me again with this one.

perfect gif. mw2 is terrible. waw was the last good cod.
They sound fine in the Dolby Digital mix. But the stereo mix is godawful. At least the guns sound better in BO2 than MW3.
In MW3 they all sounded the same and crappy.
MW3 guns sounded great. It was BO that had the tinny-sounding guns (and from the trailer it seems so does BO2).
They will return.

I may actually purchase this Call of Duty strictly for that.
It looks like they are using IW's latest with some refinements from Treyarch.
Just look at the sprint animation, straight out of MW3.
is it safe to say that treyarch put out a better multiplayer game than infinity ward now?
I remember the Call of Duty 2 days being full of disappointment after that failed to live up to the glory that was Call of Duty: United Offensive. UO was also the CoD to have if you wanted excellent vehicle gameplay.Does anyone else remember the good ol' call of duty 2 days? Then call of duty 3 got announced... and vehicles were going to be in the multiplayer! Me and all my XBL buddies were thrilled, sounded awesome.. then call of duty 3 came out. Disappointment to say the least.
CoD2 still my favorite cod by far... surprisingly this black ops 2 trailer looked really nice.
Hope, they are also using the IW netcode. My friends and I quit BOPs because it was shit. Countless times you jump someone from behind, empty the whole clip, only to die and watch the replay showing you character standing like a statue.

Gotta say, the first area in the footage looks quite lovely. Nice and bright, clean, and vibrant. I wonder if it's PC footage, as the image has 'depth' to it not unlike what you get from SSAO.

Not gonna happen. Treyarch is interested in competitive play.Glad to see the dive make a return, maybe they'll let us shoot while diving this time.
It looks... different...
The only thing I see that remotely bothers me, is that there is (as of the looks of it) zero recoil.

After I played Battlefield 3 I hated the fast-paced gameplay of Call of Duty so I doubt I will like this. At least it looks refreshing.
