Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Beta Thread | PS4 Weekend

I think I'm just not in the mood for a shooter with a really quick TTK and all the jumping around. I think I've had enough of that after playin Blops 3 for a while.

I think the next multiplayer I'm going to dabble in is Mass Effect Andromedas mp, if it's anything like ME3, and then Destiny 2.

I made a mistake, I meant a higher TTK. Fixed my post.

If you want fast health regen, play as Merc and equip Infusion trait. Now you have fast health regen.

Yea I know what you meant, you're good.

But I shouldn't have to use one Rig just to get a feature that should be the standard. What I'm getting is they made the health regeneration slow just to add a perk to a Rig; that's a no no.

I know its a beta...things can change...but fam

this might be the worst CoD multiplayer I've ever played in my life

like you thought Ghosts was bad???

you thought Advanced Warfare was bad???

BOI do I have the game for you

Advanced Warfare MP was never terrible. They actually tried to make the exo movement relevant with the map design. Was it needed? Not really but if the lag compensation wasn't there the game wasn't really terrible.

Ghosts on the other hand...the map design was not fit to 6 vs 6 COD gameplay. What a disaster.

Quite frankly, while I actually enjoyed Black Ops III MP, I find it amusing that Activision went all in with the "make it futuristic with extreme movement like Titanfall" even before Titanfall proved it that type of FPS could actually be successful. Reality is, Titanfall makes movement much better and Titanfall was not the FPS revolution by any shot of the imagination.

So now we are stuck with games being developed on the premise of trying to gain on a trend that never existed. It's even more hilarious considering the original IW disbanded because Activision didn't allow them to make "Titanfall" and then we end with every COD making those games, even when Sledgehammer wanted a 3rd person game, Treyarch wanted to remain only near-futuristic and the current IW is in the gutter anyway.

It's a guarantee this will sell gangbusters because it's COD, but it will sell less than BOIII, returning the sales trajectory downward and if in January/February the MWR MP community is actually similar or bigger than IW MP community, I'm sure Activision will take notice.

If I had to bet, Sledgehammer will keep it futuristic with AW2 but the next Treyarch game will be WW2.

I don't know how some people forget that something like the Famas with SP in MW2 was a crossmap laser beam one burst kill

Finally got a chance to play to play it. It feels so clunky :( wtf

Or maybe I'm juat spoilt by destiny and black ops 3 but it feels chunkier than bf1 which says something...

Health regen shouldn't be any different from before. It's always been five seconds to regen to full health since CoD2 and that hasn't changed far as I can tell.

It's probably just a psychological thing on my part, but I swear the hitbox for the Synaptic players (skinny robot) is narrower than the rest – and like 60% of people use that rig. Can't kill those guys for shit.

Learning the maps makes a big difference. I hated the space map on the first day but now I vote for it.

Yeah I do agree. I always start of slow with all new COD games but as I learn the maps I start to get to the point where I can hold my own. I will end up buying the game for but I am not sure how long I will be into it.

Game's growing on me a bit now despite my earlier dislike to it.

But I still find the wall running to be not that good and it is still a good notch below BO3's.

It comes to the netcode. Just binged played this thingie almost 3 hours, because I could tell every match I had a good host. And then this game really delivers. The boosting is a bit turned down compared to BO3. The weapons feel a bit more accurate. And as I said the Assault rifles are really strong now, far stronger than in previous CoD. No more SMG heaven.

I just build me a nice NV4, with quickaim, suppressor, rifled barrel. No need for forgrip, because this think is accurate enough. And its fun. The sound of the suppressor is just cool :)

I'm having a blast with this game, but the ttk is way too low. You can't really do anything with some of the payloads since you can just get shot down instantly. Also, like 90% of the grenades are garbage.

The weapons are great tho and i'm really looking forward to getting my hands on some of those "mission team" exclusive variants.

I feel like it's slower than before for sure; both my buddies agree.

Although it could be the fact that you die really fast, that it seems like I'm always on the brink of dying.

Wait so only 3 rigs for the retail game? no female soldiers?

Why the animations looks so simple

No. You begin with 3 in the beta but all 6 are playable, you just need to level to unlock them. Also you can choose the female voice option in the menu. Since unlike Specalist, RIGs are just suits the player character wears.

The respawn points are terrible in this game. I spawn a few times behind the enemy and a few times they spawned behind me. The sounds of the guns aren't really that great either. Like I said before, I'm tired of the future settings. Hopefully after MW remastered, Activision will allow Raven software to develop their own COD game especially since it will be a Modern COD.

I'm surprised to hear about TTK being low.
I feel like enemies live way longer than in BO3. I could mow down 2, maybe even 3 guys, if I flanked a group. Here I kill one and the rest turn and shoot me. Maybe I just haven't found a right gun for me.
Also, I hope those weapon camos aren't final. They are just a texture over the whole weapon model.

I think I'm one of the few who like that the maps don't follow a super basic three lane layout. They look more like real locations and less artificial and fabricated.

I'm trying to like this, but just not feeling it. I hope the campaign will at least be fun, because I don't see myself playing this PVP over Overwatch and Destiny for me right now.

A lot of them have the ability that gives the speed boost after they kill someone, which might factor into it too.

Reached level 30, and I feel I've seen all this game has to offer. Granted, plenty of unlocks aren't in the beta, but I don't feel there's much depth here.

Don't feel it.

I think I've played at least two matches on the snow level where I see people running off the edge and killing themselves. Strangely enough the second time I saw this I noticed that team also won. What gives?

I one time saw three clowns in a row doing this. They were trying to get a stupid trickshot for the final kill.

Its a fun game to play. Visually, its nice. The guns look interesting, the sounds are excellent, movement wise it feels like a slightly toned down BO3 in that the sprint speed is slighly slower IMO, and its a little sluggish to boost jump but not to say its hard to do it. Saying that IW is more boots on the ground is not really accurate. Sure you cant really do a lot of boost jumping in closed off maps like Frontier, but in maps like Frost and Throwback, there is A LOT of boost jumping and wall running. That said, I quite like the maps which arent the 3-lane design, as it makes things a bit more unpredictable. TTK is ok, and the specialists have some new interesting abilities.

Negatives, there seems to be some lag and host migrations, which was an issue in BO3. Matchmaking is horrendous at the moment, and personally for me, I can't get into matches other than TDM. All in all, it feels very similar to BO3.

Yeah. the ttk seems considerably higher to me than bo3. I think the most jarring thing is the awkward movement animations/speed. The maps are also very cluttered. Both visually and space wise.

I got bored with BO3 about 6 months ago. I jumped into the beta last night and I was bored almost immediately.

Why even have a 3 dev cycle when every game is still basically the same? This straight up feels like BO3 DLC with a couple of unnecessary and negative changes here and there.

It also feels like you have less time than BO3 to react once you get shot, you die almost instantly in this game. A lot of guys running around with one shot sniper rifles too. Smh

After playing the beta for 2 days and going back to Black Ops 3. I can confirm I won't be spending a dime on IW. That game feels so stiff compared to how smooth Black ops 3 is.

Can someone explain to me what the point of the NV4 is? The gun is a POS. You loss EVERY one on one battle against every gun with it. You can get the first 2 or 3 hits and you will still die first.

I am really starting to hate the maps because I am just tired of walking 5 feet and getting shot from the back or side. There are just far too many corners and entry points on all of these maps.

This is awful

TTK is too low, manuverability feels like shit, weapons are unbalanced and the map I played wasn't intelligently made.

Honestly the worst cod has to offer imo. The beta has convinced me to hold off until MWR is released separately.

Black Ops 3 had movement right. I just want a game that has the best of BO2 and 3

I am torn what to do. I thought the titanfall beta was awful, I was never a fan of battlefield and this game is lukewarm as best.
Fortunately the campaign looks great and Zombies is more fun and accessible than it's ever been. I'm not a Zombies guy at all and had a blast playing it at COD XP. And obviously MWR campaign + MP is worth the money to a lot of people and will probably be my most played game this year and in 2017, so the COD package is the best bang for the buck for me.

I really liked the Titanfall 2 tech test but the community will be DOA thanks to EA releasing it in the middle of BF and COD, and BF1 just doesn't do it for me.

The only multiplayer shooter I've heavily invested myself in over the past several years was Destiny, but I've been able to pickup AW and BO3 and stay in the top 70% pretty consistently. I'm getting absolutely stomped in this beta. I think I could make an epic quick/noscope montage just by editing the killcam shots from my last several games. The amount of mobility that people seem to have while simultaneously landing ohk at close range with sniper rifles is incredible. Whether it's skill-based or not, there's absolutely no way I can compete in that space as I play a much more cautious, slow-paced game. Several times I had someone jump out from a tunnel above me, and it looked as if they were simultaneously going prone and ohk'ing me in midair. I won't pass judgement on it because I'm not skilled/familiar enough with this franchise to know any better, but that combined with the Frontier map turned me off to the game within an hour of play. I'm still interested in the single player campaign.
