Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Beta Thread | PS4 Weekend

Hit detection is the best I've seen yet in a cod game . That's about the only thing positive I can say. Hipefully when they see the majority playing the remaster they will come correct for the next game .

The TTK is honestly vomit inducing . You can fart on someone and they die .

When you think about it, it's pretty telling that Activision wasn't confident in Infinite Warfare. First off, the beta is only accessible to those who preordered whereas Black Ops 3 was available to everyone. Second, this was the year they decided to remaster a previous Call of Duty game and even worse, lock it to those who bought Infinite Warfare,

It's pretty telling that they are also not confident in Infinity Ward, but for some reason, they still keep them around.

Infinity Ward has been on a streak of the community not taking their games well, but they still continue. A lot of people just wait for whatever Treyarch is working on at this point. Sure, some people may still buy the games, but they always go back to Treyarch.

Yeah, don't know where you got this information. It was the exact same thing last year. They did open it up a few days in to everyone, but to play from the beginning you had to pre-order.

After the little bit I've actually been able to play, I now feel compelled to buy the Legacy Edition because I can tell I'm going to mainly want to play MWR over Infinite Warfare itself. Pretty depressing.

So I've been in a lobby for about 10 minutes and no one has joined so far...I just got home so I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing problems finding lobbies.

I love how the game is trolling me

"Initializing launch sequence"
"We are ready to go"

We are ready to go

Just gonna go play the Xenoverse 2 beta while they fix this one..
Wasting time just waiting in these lobbies

I don't like it but I'm not surprised as I've really hated call of duty since they added the ridiculous movement systems.

On a positive note, Modern Warfare will likely have a community on consoles for several years....

Finally played a match. It feels odd,i'm not a fan of Black Ops 3 and this doesn't feels like BOPS3 it's more like Ghosts with jumping stuff.

One thing i like about is graphics,it probably uses updated Ghosts engine with added AW engine stuff.I don't like 3Arc's engine between these three.

I got two games in Frontier, which is an utter horse shit map. It's not meant for this movement system at all.

They're giving you 30 keys for your first match which is enough to open a rare supply drop. I opened one and got a gun skin with stat boosts. Fucking pay to win confirmed.

I'm considering this game shit and will wait for Modern Warfare Remastered to be separate (or legacy editions to go cheap)

So supply drops are back?

Shit

Every single Cod BETA servers are so loaded that it does not work.

The only beta that had issues for me was BO3 and those were largely matchmaking and connectivity issues and those were ironed out within a day. AW, and Ghosts essentially had no major issues.

I could be way off the mark (and likely someone on here will tell me I'm crazy) but I think the community will be larger on Modern Warfare, and II'm wondering if they'll see that and reconsider the movement system that seems like it's going to be a call of duty staple.

For me personally what was good about call of duty was the simplicity of everything. It just seems like they make each new release more complicated and add new systems just for the sake of claiming to be a new feature.

Supply drops are back, but the "gun skin with stat boosts" is a variant. Variants can be grinded out manually using a different currency called salvage. The RNG is just a shortcut.

Hate how their isn't really any personality. Everything is just robots or mechs; and the building and such look bland and boring. In Black Ops 3 at least the Rigs were all completely different looking.

Like holy shit I thought it was bad before but....the lack of any sort of color palette in this beta when it comes to characters is insane.

All shades of grey. Shit looks so uninspired.

Completely agree with this. The game is almost "overwhelming" to play with all the various shit you have to avoid, customize, unlock, etc. And I say this being a big fan who has liked most of the games. I just think I am finally getting burned out. That is why I am so excited about MW: Remastered. I am excited to go back to the barebones, 3 killstreak, handful of attachments/Perks experience.

Need proof of this.

Played a match and the only thing I really dislike is how they're back to Ghost's color style. Everything (including and especially the RIGs) just looks so dull compared to Treyarch's colors.

TTK is fine just takes a bit of getting used to.

After Black Ops 3, this feels and plays like a downgrade. It's like going back to advance warfare which was terrible.
That actually sounds fantastic, AW is the only one I play.
I even got the season pass for BLOPS3 and haven't touched the last two map packs because the game is shit.
Sadly this does look like its taken from it, but you've gave me hope.

Exactly.

Black Ops 3 felt completely overwhelming for me with all the menus, unlocks, specialists etc

I'm really hoping the success of the remaster will make Activision and the devs reconsider the path they're taking the series to.

Then again Call of Duty for me is at the point where they could literally put a piece of crap in the box and it would still sell millions. The brand is just so strong.

The main thing I want them to remove is the movement system, it doesn't feel right in this game, and even though maps were designed for it in Black Ops 3 I still hate it.

I don't get the TTK complaints. I feel like I die slower in this game compared to BO3 where every weapon would melt me instantly. On the other hand I only played one whole match and can't connect to a damn thing now so maybe my opinion will change later.

Im sorry but from my time with this....its absolute shit....it has literally taken everything i hate from ghosts and advanced warfare and shaped it into streamlined turd...i cant find anything i like about it

Yep this is awful. No reason to play this over BLOPS 3
This is why I don't understand why they thought it'd be a good idea that copy and pasting blops3 me was a good idea. Yea, it's the safe bet from all the bitching from ghosts(which is not as bad as many make it out to be, they had a good base that they needed to work on not scrap) but it's too safe and people will always rather an original to a copy.
Except the fact that BLOPS 3 is awful, too, of course.
This.

I really don't like it, desintalled it after 15 minutes. To me it feels like Black Ops 3.5, I'm tired of the wall running and jumping around. Hope others can enjoy it though

I tried... and wow... Kinda not liking it one bit
Thinking of cancelling my preorder and getting something like Mafia3 or Rise of the Tomb Raider
