Call of Duty WW2 Trailer

Not enough space in this Call of Duty. Sorry, but I'm skipping. Maybe the 2018 CoD will be more interesting to me.

Could be good, but I don't see why anyone who doesn't have a particular interest in the setting would be impressed with that trailer. It was pretty generic. Guy yells at you to keep moving forward, dude stands there with a flamethrower, tank right next to you blows up while someone on it is in mid-sentence, "You're a long way from home"

I dunno, I know media in general is pretty formulaic, maybe this trailer had the misfortune of being just one too many for me

Things look different this year

The people want World War games again. I'm optimistic.

I know that they did a cinematic trailer but I hope the game itself is less about cinematic story stuff and more about "here is our objective, let's go" a la early Call of Duty games. Little to no melodramatic Hollywood nonsense please.

Well of course. EA isn't marketing a Battlefield this year (yet), so no need for them to run the Youtube Downvote-Nuke botnet on the latest CoD trailer this year.

;)

I know your joking but shit did become really suspicious after awhile.

Looks super good. Happy to see character customization as mentioned in the other thread is still in.

It sucks that they finally managed to write a decent female character into their campaign and suddenly its back to WW2.

Sure looks pretty though.

Guess that's two years in a row now I skip CoD. A first for me. I played through this shit for over ten years man, I have such little interest in revisiting the era.

Lip syncing in that trailer is pretty wank. Not enough movement/deformation, especially when shouting. You try screaming whilst keep your mouth as closed as possible, and that's what it looks like. We're in uncanny valley here.

In addition, there's some questionable material choices. The guy's eyes at the 1 minute mark look flat as fuck.

As for the 'concept'... I'm far from sold. The American World War II campaign still seems terribly overdone, and nothing in that trailer seemed like a break from the mundane.

called this with a friend of mine awhile back
that battlefield was going to change the culture

tempted to buy a ps4 now

Except this has been in development since late 2014/Early 2015. So waaaay before BF1 was even announced. Cod is on a 3 year dev cycle. With or without BF1 this was gonna happen it seems.

Okay I'm in.

I actually really liked Advanced Warfares campaign. Though Infinite Warfares was the best campaign since MW1-2.

They already confirmed playable female characters in the MP and mentioned a female resistance leader in France for the SP.
Good to hear. I just saw the trailer, which just followed Americans.

Gotta say, though, I'm getting sick and tired of Germans ambushing American Sherman convoys that for some reason have no pickets, no scouts, and troops riding desant. It's dumb Hollywood Tactics.
