I think sucker punch are making Metroid 4.

They're essentially done with Infamous.
They are working on an unannounced title.
Infamous has similar designs as Metroid, gaining more abilities
Sucker punch worked on sly trilogy which would fit right at home on a Nintendo console.

I think my math is sound.

All it would take is Sony recognising how good the Switch is and letting Sucker Punch make games for it lol

I actually called Bethesda/iD working on Prime 4 before it was even announced at E3. DOOM has a lot of the gameplay DNA of Prime so I trust they would make a Metroid Prime that plays really well, if nothing else.

I think I said this in one of those "what Nintendo collaborations do you want to see" threads last year.

Take a close look at Prime's leveldesign and item progression/interaction with the world and then at Doom's. Does anything come to your mind? Like: "That's not such a good idea actually..." for example?

This is a fun theory since there isn't anything "directly" contradicting it, but realistically I don't think there's any possibility that this is true.

Would I like it to be true? Well, honestly...at this point I'm pretty sure Arkane could put out a masterful Metroid Prime game. I'd love for Prime to go more of the immersive sim route, in the style of Prey specifically. But exploring alien environments instead of an abandoned spaceship.

EDIT: Though Nintendo tapped Team Ninja for the last console Metroid, which I personally thought was pretty bizarre, so who knows.
