This video has restored my faith in Sony. I love the attitude. I love the humor. I love the fact they are taking swings at Microsoft. I want to see more commercials with these two.

I want to see these two goofs sitting on a couch playing Destiny and hear the narrator say, "This is how you change the channel on a PS4". Then I want a Steve Ballmer lookalike to walk into view with a remote and then these two pelt him with stuff and continue playing the fucking game because games are what the fuck we are buying these systems for!

I'm almost as excited to see what else Sony will do as I am to see the console release.

Do you guys think they will continue to take shots at MS or will they play it nice from now on?
 
I'd love to see the gloves come off.

It's entertaining as can be watching videogame giants square off. I loved those old Sony commercials with crash, and I was a huge Nintendo fanboy back then. Same with the Sega/Nintendon't commercials.

Nah, take that shit and leave it at E3. All it does is rile up the fanboys on either side. Though, to be fair, MS does not have to many fans right now.

Wouldn't work nearly as well because most people aren't actively pissed off that the XBox One wants to integrate TV functionality. I think it's actually pretty cool.

The DRM stuff was the big issue.

Sony does know how to sell itself, that is for sure, they make something that should be expected seem like some sort of "gift" to gamers, and of course many eat it up.

They should maintain a certain level of class.

They've made their point, any more would become gross dick waving, especially considering they're just keeping things as they are, not giving away free money.

Yeah, it's nice to see some level of fun being had in the ads. It's a shame some dudes find it too harsh or whatevs.
 
I went from an "Xbox fanboy" to hoping the Xbone fails, all in one night. Im not even the kinda person who deliberately hopes for the worst to happen to things I don't like, but Microsoft is being incredibly ridiculous.
 
Isn't that their DRM policy for first party games only? And that third parties can do whatever they want, which is probably add DRM?

Patrick from GiantBomb did a nice interview with a rep from Sony who provides answers to many of these things. To paraphrase, Sony is setting the tone and if publishers absolutely want to implement DRM policies to their games, Sony won't stop them but the odds of it happening are pretty low considering that Sony is setting the tone and that every publisher in the world saw the reaction that the press gave Jack Tretton at Sony's conference. There's a dedicated thread to the interview, it's worth a read.

Yep. i think they addressed all the issues at E3. there's pretty much nothing else they can do except let microsoft promote the ps4.

But hey. we have like 6+ months to go!

Probably true but I'm glad they bothered to mention it. I thought e3 would come and go and Sony wouldn't comment on the 360 DRM so directly. The video alone will circulate and pop up frequently between now and release so I think it was a good move.

We don't need a series or anything though.

But Yoshp keeps hold of the game!!!

I think that is a clue into the real transferal system of the PS4, and there is some kind of authentication system that means the game is "handcuffed" or "glued", if you will, to the original purchaser!!!!


Sony should tell us the TRUTH!!!!
