Can we all agree that Encore is Eminem's worst album?

I remember buying the album back in 2004 and feeling so burned. I listened to it again recently and time hasn't improved it at all.

It has a couple cool tracks "Like Toy Solider", the title track and even "Just Lose it" but there were just too many joke tracks and weird experimental tracks that don't work.

So we can all agree on this right?

Rain man is my shit and I like Ass Like That. Can't really defend against Big Weenie!

I get why it's hated so much, but I might like it a bit better than Relapse. They both have good songs, but I think the good songs off of Encore probably just stick with me a bit better.

Also, We As Americans and Ricky Ticky Toc are SooGood.gif

I remember seeing a list of the Top 10 Worst Eminem Songs, and 9/10ths of the list was Encore (the #1 was taken by a bonus track off his Greatest Hits album). I think that speaks to it's reputation.

I always heard relapse sucked the worst.
Just getting into to Eminem for the first time myself, just familiarized myself with the greatest hits album[wasn't a bad track in it, imo], and am now starting on the new one[rap god is badass].

I think Relapse is underrated and I'd definitely place it higher than Encore. I don't like the accents but it's good some good stuff on it.

Encore is a bad album lyrically but has some good beats and flows, which is more than can be said for anything past it.

Eminem Show = 8 mile songs > MMLP > SSLP > Infinite >>>>> Encore > Relapse = MMLP 2 = Recovery

People always comment on the accents, but Bagpipes from Baghdad was one of my favorite tunes off the album. Opinions and all that I guess.

even though i kind of like relapse. it's apparent that eminem died after eminem show. great run of songs/albums up until that point though.

he's on "who gives a shit" tier now. hell i'd even put new jay z stuff over him because while his flow is boring as hell now at least he's getting LA FLAME beats.

Eminem hasn't released a good album since 2002. He's done folks, as MMLP2 illustrates. Honestly it might be worse than Encore, which at least had Mosh.

I think there's a serious arguement to be made that Rap God might be the best song he's ever made, so I don't get this.

WHAAAAAAT?! oh man. new eminem fans.

at least listen to his greatest hits and realize just how fire the dude's singles used to be when he had something to say. and then his stuff up until 2002 to see how good his albums were.

The only good songs on the album are on the Deluxe edition (Ricky Ticky Toc, We as Americans). Mockingbird and Like Toy Soldiers are good with Stan being awesome but they were all on previous albums.

Can we all agree that Eminem is trash?

Taylor Swift's good? That's a new one.

Encore has Yellow Brick Road and Curtains Down. Those two tracks alone keep Encore afloat in the Unofficial Eminem Album Power Rankings,
that I created.

I think you just got nostalgia man. I've literally only listened to the greatest hits album, rap god, and a rhihana feat. That's everything I've heard so far from him.
If not the best, rap god certainly seems deserving to be among the best. IMO, of course.

wat.

Go listen to his first 3 (studio) albums.

It's a sad album, if you think about it. On many song's he's notably slurring, which in 2004 we attributed to an artistic choice but now knowing how gone he was now you have to wonder...

Kinda plan on it, but I was going to get to the rest of the new album first.
But, on a serious note, I don't really get the emotional stuff, so for me, to my own personaly entertainment, eminem's better when he's being funny, [or darkly ironic?].
So... Toy Soldiers< Stan kinda thing for me.
That's kinda my experience.
But like I said, I haven't heard a track I didn't like yet.
