Grammy-nominated rapper Ja Rule turned himself into Canadian police yesterday and was charged with assault and bodily harm stemming from a fight at Toronto's La Rouge nightclub in June.

Ja Rule, whose real name is Jeffrey Atkins, was released on $10,000 bail, but will have to return on Aug. 30.

I expect nothing more than life in a jail at the arctic circle. You can do it Canada!
