Cancel your vacation to Puerto Vallarta

Isn't this where the Love Boat would go?

personally I avoid Mexico at all costs. Jamaica is right there. But hope folks stay safe.

I was just thinking of taking a vacation to Mexico. But I wasn't thinking of Puerto Vallarta. Maybe I should go back to Fajardo in Puerto Rico instead. That's a pretty nice place and there's a bioluminescent bay you can take nighttime kayak tours of. More iguanas but fewer cartel explosions.

Go to Jamaica. It's so wonderful there. The food is amazing, the music is awesome, the people are great.

I went to Cancun in October and absolutely loved it. The resort was very safe

Honestly we really should've just rained bombs down on the cartels years ago. We should definitely do it now regardless of what the Mexican government wants.

Too many politicians here get kickbacks for the smuggling that happens. If they wanted to stop the cartels, they could have.

I've been in war zones that were completely chill, kids laughing and playing then all hell breaks loose.

Mexico has the illusion of safety but its on the edge of anarchy because of how deep the cartels are rooted in government. It's widespread.

Taking out a Cartel head? Yeah, that'll start a war alright - the Cartels do not play. Best of luck to everyone there, shits insane.

Remember listening to this awhile back and they were talking about cartels and the situation down there

El Mencho mentioned at this mark:

Pure terrorizing. They should have went down the ladder with the info they had, that way the power grab/vacuum is way more chaotic lol
By that I mean the infighting within the Cartel for power after a big head dies.

Last time countries decided to "fuck it, violence is the answer" we got two world wars out of it, so…

Lots of dramatic footage of fires but I cannot find any reports of deaths. Cartels often just walked into a busy bar and shot everyone to make a point, let's hope they stay busy with setting fires to empty cars.

I always wondered why so many Americans visit Mexico, sure it's cheap and you have good weather, but things can escalate at any second. Or you can randomly witness some cartel-related thing and you're fucked. There's plenty of safe(r) tourist destinations to choose from.

The upcoming World Cup is also a catastrophe waiting to happen. I wouldn't be surprised if some Mexican venues are replaced if the fighting persists.

I doubt they'll hurt Americans. Wasn't there an American killed not so long ago and the cartel themselves killed the guy that murdered him because of fears of what the US would do?

Wild. I was looking at flights to PV a couple weeks ago for this upcoming weekend. It's was going to be more expensive and a longer flight than I wanted. Considered Nassau Bahamas too but decided on seeing friends in Vancouver instead.
