CANCELLED: Malcom + That 70's Show

NBC should pick up Arrested Development and put it on Thursdays with My Name is Earl and the Office, especially since Will & Grace is finally getting the hell off my TV.

BTW, Jefferson Darcy > Steve Rhoades. Fact.

NO MAAM 4 Life!

That 70's show got old after Eric and Donna got married and after Donna became a blonde which was stupid cause she was like the anti-blonde/fiesty redhead.
I don't think they ever actually got married.

Anywho, That 70s Show was pretty good for four or five seasons and then went downhill into redundancy, wackiness and the characters all became pure caricatures. It was all a lot better in the first couple seasons when the show had some real heart beyond the comedy and 70s nostalgia.

Hate the show, forced to watch it because of its time slot though and I am too lazy to switch channels. The daughter is cute though, that still doesnt make up for how much it sucks.

Well even though I enjoyed that 70's show I couldn't stand that guy trying to replace Eric. I've seen too many replacments in my time and they've not done well. Pinsky trying to replace michael on SYS, jefferson replacing steve on married with children. It's all pretty much the same results.

And as for malcom, thank god. Sick of it already.
Whoa whoa whoa... that's crazy talk. Steve doesn't have a thing on Jefferson. I love the eps when Steve came back and they were both in it... :lol

I though Malcolm was cancelled over a year ago. As for 70's show, I stopped watching as soon as Eric went MIA. Then I caught the beginning of an ep a while back and noticed Kelso wasn't even in the intro. I didn't even bother watching it.. :lol

Actually I'm pretty sure War at Home is cancelled, they're just showing the rest of the series that was made, then it's gone, thank goodness.

Has there been anything said lately about Futurama coming back? I remember hearing months ago that there were "negotiations".

I knew Malcolm was about to get the axe when Fox moved it to Friday nights. I'm actually surprised that they didn't announce the same fate for The Bernie Mac show, thats another one that has lost a lot of steam.

Both shows had a good run. Hopefully Fox doesn't just bury their series finales in stupid timeslots because both deserve a good send off.

The only episode of Malcolm that I ever saw was the one where his mom got into an accident in the parking lot of some store, then it turned into a two-car demolition derby. That was pretty hot.

70's show always seemed like "'Friends' for the Hot Topic set" to me.

the 12 episodes of the Young Ones > everything fox has ever shown, period.

Malcolm got reamed to the poor slots after it won its awards. The 7pm slot on Sundays then the Friday night slot of DOOM where Fox puts all of their soon to be canceled, long running shows.

Malcom went downhill after the first season even and quickly became ANNOYING. That 70's show was absolute gold earlier on.

Whatever happened to Eric and Dana?

One of my favorite BBC shows. Rick is the second greatest character in fiction next to Rimmer from Red Dwarf.

Nah, Malcolm has been good all along, but it's an ok time to finish it off, I agree with that. Let's hope for a proper finale.

I'm not really all that disappointed.. I enjoyed both shows a bit for a while but lately they both just got pretty meh.. 70's Show more so though. I think it was around when Donna went Blond and some characters left or something. Hrm.

I liked Malcolm a lot when it first started, I sort of cooled to it after that but I still enjoyed some of the episodes although there were some terrible ones also. I think the show has run it's course, it should have an interesting final.

That 70's show was boring trash, I don't know if I ever laughed at anything in it even though I gave it several shots. Haha drugs and sex...funnnnny...durrrrr.

According to Billy West and Matt Groening, there is a direct to DVD movie planned, but they have not yet begun working on it.

anyone who says malcolm has lost it really hasn't watched the show any time recently. I think it is impossible to say the show ever lost it. when they were done playing the whole malcolm is a genius card they went on to reese and francis. and then when dewey got older they moved to him. really pretty brilliant all the way up til this season. the show is still funnier that at least 2/3 of the comedies on TV. I only say it's a little long in the tooth because I think the characters they've created weren't meant to hold up for years and years (on their 6th season).

Still a great show though. this year alone has had some of their best episodes of all time. really anything where dewey hatches a plot against malcolm or reese is great.

I think Malcolm has lost something -- but I still gladly watch it, unlike the Simpsons. And while I felt the end was near, I'm a little surprised that it's come this year.

That's a shame about Malcolm in the Middle. That was IMO when of the best comedy shows of the past decade, at least during its prime. When it left its prime is kind of hard to tell.....certainly the best episodes were when Francis was still in military school and wasn't all "responisble" yet. They made some great episodes after that, though. It was one of the first sitcoms I remember without a laugh track, and I've always appreciated it for that.

The kid who plays Malcolm did kind of grow out of his role, though. He just looks kind of doofusy and awkward, now.

The other day I've heard that the actor who plays Dewey in the MITM bought some house worth $2M. I felt kinda weird for a moment - last time I saw him on TV (probably some rerun) he seemed to be 8 years old or so.

For 70's show this doesnt come as a suprise at all, in fact I think I remember hearing somewhere that it was deffinatly the last season, in any case good riddance, Topher Grace and Ashton Kutcher leaving the cast was stupid and right there should have been reason enough to not even bother with this season. And even if they were still on, it should have been canceld, I mean the show became a parody of it's self, and a bad one at that.

I am also pised that the writers decided to write the show in to a time warp. If you pay attention to the show AT ALL, it's NOT 1979 anymore, it's 1980!! I mean, every 2 seasons of the show seem to cover 1 year, so there's usualy a xmas episode every second season, so why is it that when in a past season (either last, or the one before) when it was 1979 and there was an xmas episode is it STILL not 1980!! I mean, I was kinda looking forward to them doing an episode covering Empire Strikes Back hitting theaters and Eric's recation to it, but no, just because it's called 70's Show they couldent possably let time flow proberly, fuckin idiot writers, good riddince to this show.

I am a little more suprised about Malcolm though, dont watch it all the time, but it's a pretty funny show still.

I dont know if I love the idea about Arrested Development going to showtime, ABC would be fine, but showtime I dont get :( And I want Futureama back too.

Fox shows need more blunt trauma and forgotten 80's British New Age bands, true.

Jeff-DSA: You forgot 4: Scenes involving Mila Kunis. Mmm...

"no no, it's Madness this week, rick." :lol

Good riddance I say.

Malcolm in the Middle is not funny...at all. Not the first episode, not the second, and not now. Everything has kind of a homey humor to it that just isn't entertaining. I'm sure people went "LOL" at the "L stands for Value" but that button represents the show. It has all the makings of something great but it doesn't. I think thats why people even like the show...because of its potential. It failed in its delivery.

That 70s Show was ok. I'll give credit where its due and admit that the first one and a half seasons were great. Then it slid down. Then it got better. Then (around 2001 or 2002 on), it turned to utter shit. Even some of my friends who are die hard fans of this show admit that its sucked for a while and am glad its canceled. The show is hollow and superficial. Once they milked the Red "I'm going to kick your ass" theme and the "Lets all get high!" jokes, they had nothing left. I did take perverse joy in watching Eric fail with Donna when Luke Wilson was the guest star. That was tits.

P.S. I don't know why you guys want Futurama to come back. Look at what happened to Family Guy. Some things are just better left to rest. Although a DVD movie finale would be a fine way to finally end the series.

People complaining about Family Guy this season are just looking for something to bitch about "Well, now it's back so I have to say it's not as good as it used to be."

It's still fucking hilarious. I think it's better than most of the show before it got cancelled, actually.

What a pile of warm, steamy bullshit. Malcolm in the Middle at its peak was one of the best sitcoms in years.

Im prolly the bigest hater of the "new" Simpsons ( post season 10) but I caught two episodes a week or so ago and they we're actually making me laugh...they had charm, something the series hasn't had since the season's we're in single digits.
