To be fair, its not outside of the realm of possibility for someone at Capcom to get something utterly wrong (see: 16 player multiplayer mode in RE5, moving whilst shooting "action control" implementation in RE5).

Oh, they'll include it. As DLC. <cackles>
Run'n'Shoot DLC for RE5 confirmed? :lol

This is a multiplat title no? Or are some of you getting riled up because it may be? Multiplayer, multiplatform, multiorgy, this should be fun either way.
It is (PS3, X360, PC), and no one is getting riled up: it's just the sentence "6000 zombies in multiplatform sessions" that doesn't make any sense, so please let's leave console warz bullshit out of this thread :P

I know the game's first trailer debuted on X360 market place exclusively and they have not really talked about any other platform. So when they say multiplatform, does it mean a PC/360 type of thing or even PS3 might be included ?

how about reading the OP

game is coming out on 360/pc/ps3

Man, Dead Rising 2 w/Couch Co-Op would be the most ultimate thing in the entire world.

Even if they do it Fable 2 Style(tethered), I'd be okay with that.

wait... in dead rising you could roundhouse kick....

....chuck greene.....

chuck...

.....Chuck Norris is the main character for DR2!!

I kind of hope this is some sort of reverse Raiden where Chuck gets eaten by the first boss and someone that's covered wars has to step in.

It's a very weird decision, but ultimately I couldn't give a fuck. It's Dead Rising 2, and that's enough for me.

If the multiplayer ends up being one of those unlock content already on the disc 'keys' you have to pay for, oh lord have mercy.
If I were american I would frickin sue sue sue!
GAF vs Capcom, the end of days is nigh!

Seriously, a bit off-topic but is there really nothing being done about that?
Sure doesn't feel right, gotta be a loophole somewhere.

according to the famitsu article the game will follow a similar 72 hour gameplay mechanic and will have the highest amount of enemies rendered on screen at once in gaming so far.

we already know this.

One area that will be going in the reverse direction is loading. The game promises less loading thanks to updated tech. On a note relating to the loading, it appears that fallen zombie bodies will remain in place while you explore a single area. The bodies clear out only when you move beyond a loading point.

Famitsu managed to sneak in a few words with producer Keiji Inafune, who was unfortunately a bit on the shy side with specifics. He wouldn't share Chuck's precise job, although he did confirm the presence of a new form of gameplay relating to the job. He also wouldn't clearly respond to a question about the game's slot machines being playable.

Most unfortunately, he dodged a question about network support, stating only that Capcom is looking into it.

Development on Dead Rising 2 is currently half way done, said Inafune. Capcom is aiming for a simultaneous worldwide release.
