After all the whining about Resident Evil on Wii, Wii U will get RE 5 Gold Edition because Capcpom.
So was RE4 Wii.Nah... it would be on the eShop if it is. Isn't it about 3 years old?
I see you're not familiar with CapcpomNah... it would be on the eShop if it is. Isn't it about 3 years old?
That is like 200% increase. I am all for it.Dark Void WiiU Directors Cut with 3 more hours of gameplay.
At full price, naturally. Then when it under performs they'll blame the userbase. Unless it actually sells a million +, in which case it'll encourage them to release a couple half-hearted spin offs with touch screen only controls before abandoning the system altogether. After all the whining about Resident Evil on Wii, Wii U will get RE 5 Gold Edition because Capcpom.

What we want - REmake 2
What we will get - Resident Evil Operation Racoon City On Rails Edition
So was RE4 Wii.
i was being sarcastic.Odds of RE5 coming out on Wii U: 0%
At least initially. Capcom is going to either port their most recent RE game or create a new one entirely, like they did with the 3DS games. The only reason RE4 came out on the Wii three years after it came out on Gamecube is because at the time, RE4 was the most recent game in the series. RE5 didn't come out until two years later. Maybe they'll release it as part of a Wii U anthology, but not before putting out the game they just finished making.

I suppose the Wii U will eventually get RE 6 Gold Edition or something like that.

OH GOD MINISH CAP WII U CONFIRMED
Nevermind thenWasn't responding to you. Was responding to the people who weren't.
Dunno. Sven might be a PR guy, but his recent statement makes sense: The significance of Capcom bringing their biggest franchise to Wii U at launch should not be underestimated.I can see some ports like Dragon Dogma or Resident Evil 6 and some XBLA/PSN games as well. I don't see any original games.

If we want to read into his comments, I would guess this bolds well for Japanese-centric support. The real test, if you will, will be if Wii U is included in PS4/720 plans for more Western focused IP's.

Sven called it their biggest franchise. And it probably is, considering it's yearly and Capcom also sells tons and tons of related merchandise.I think it's about Monster Hunter in Japan. It's one of their biggest franchise in Japan not so much in NA. Resident Evil 6 might come since it's another big franchise for them.
I don't expect anything original. I can see more ports.

I'm pretty sure we'll see quite a few Capcom titles, and not just ports. But I expect the lineup to be very Japanese focused.
I guess Dragon Dogma Wii U edition will be their 2nd game after MonHun, Capcom paid alot for this project and they'll milk it hard.
And this is...good. Very good indeed.![]()

This. I fully expect this game at some point. While it might have sold well in Japan it didn't outside of it for the amount of money they are hinted at putting into it. They'll have to make back the money and being the only game on the Wii U, with all inventory on the screen would be a way to go about it. Especailly going forward if there is no support from Bethesda. They could have the open world RPG genre to themselves on the system if they play their cards right.
I..would really like that.

I suspect Capcom and other japanese developers will keep their big western titles(RE5, RE6, RE:ORC, DMC, MGS, FF, Lost planet, etc) for 360/PS3 and their succesors meanwhile Wii U will get the more japanese centric titles(MH, DQ).Well, they apparently aren't prioritizing Wii U support enough to make versions of RE6, DmC, LP3, or Remember Me happen (at least not in a timely manner), so I'm keeping my expectations low.
