Capcom has more Wii U games in the works

The sad thing is that I agree with those who say that Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition has more chances to be released in the near future than Resident Evil 6.

Lost Planet 3 looks also like a good candidate.

Hoping for Okami HD (eShop), a Street Fighter game and Resident Evil 6, since I would buy all three.

Also think we'll see a lot of Capcom's XBLA and PSN games showing up on WiiU.

Would love to see Nintendo v Capcom. That would be a system seller for sure.

By the way, does anyone know what Yoshinori Ono is working on at the moment?

After all the whining about Resident Evil on Wii, Wii U will get RE 5 Gold Edition because Capcpom.

Nah... it would be on the eShop if it is. Isn't it about 3 years old?

At full price, naturally. Then when it under performs they'll blame the userbase. Unless it actually sells a million +, in which case it'll encourage them to release a couple half-hearted spin offs with touch screen only controls before abandoning the system altogether.

I'm not bitter.

Honestly, like the early days of PS3, I can see a lot of ports of WiiU games for PS4 and Xbox720 with some test games thrown in.

No way will Capcom go balls to wall with PS4 with what happened to Dragon's Dogma

I know that feel man

Odds of RE5 coming out on Wii U: 0%

At least initially. Capcom is going to either port their most recent RE game or create a new one entirely, like they did with the 3DS games. The only reason RE4 came out on the Wii three years after it came out on Gamecube is because at the time, RE4 was the most recent game in the series. RE5 didn't come out until two years later. Maybe they'll release it as part of a Wii U anthology, but not before putting out the game they just finished making.

i was being sarcastic.

I suppose the Wii U will eventually get RE 6 Gold Edition or something like that.

OH GOD MINISH CAP WII U CONFIRMED

It's still surprising that people don't know that the majority of the people that helped make that game are already at Nintendo. I think one of the head guys that worked on the Capcom developed Zeldas was the director of Skyward Sword.

if capcom shows a RE6 version with RE4 wii controls and local coop using the tablet controller then this will be the definitive version for me

I can see some ports like Dragon Dogma or Resident Evil 6 and some XBLA/PSN games as well. I don't see any original games.
Dunno. Sven might be a PR guy, but his recent statement makes sense: The significance of Capcom bringing their biggest franchise to Wii U at launch should not be underestimated.

If we want to read into his comments, I would guess this bolds well for Japanese-centric support. The real test, if you will, will be if Wii U is included in PS4/720 plans for more Western focused IP's.

A lot of that will no doubt depend on how MT Framework evolves, and how scaleable new iterations of it are.

I think it's about Monster Hunter in Japan. It's one of their biggest franchise in Japan not so much in NA. Resident Evil 6 might come since it's another big franchise for them.

I don't expect anything original. I can see more ports.

Sven called it their biggest franchise. And it probably is, considering it's yearly and Capcom also sells tons and tons of related merchandise.

I'm pretty sure we'll see quite a few Capcom titles, and not just ports. But I expect the lineup to be very Japanese focused.

And this is...good. Very good indeed. :P

I guess Dragon Dogma Wii U edition will be their 2nd game after MonHun, Capcom paid alot for this project and they'll milk it hard.

This. I fully expect this game at some point. While it might have sold well in Japan it didn't outside of it for the amount of money they are hinted at putting into it. They'll have to make back the money and being the only game of this type on the Wii U, with all inventory on the screen, it would be a way to go about it. Especailly going forward if there is no support from Bethesda. They could have the open world RPG genre to themselves on the system if they play their cards right.

Hell yeah, Japanese style games. I have a strong feeling one is a fighting game. Exculsive time on a Capcom fighting game would be huge for Nintendo. Maybe a new version of MvC3 or Street Fighter. Possibly a new fighting game project altogether.

Maybe they are going to do E.X. Troopers on Wii U? Would be awesome(and bring us the 3DS version!).

I´ll take a real Onimusha IV.

Agree completely. Frankly I thought Dragon's Dogma might be Capcom's launch title- Monster Hunter kind of stole that thunder :)

I hope they add more content, up the textures and some sort of PVP. Hell Do it like Dark Souls if you have to.

Well, they apparently aren't prioritizing Wii U support enough to make versions of RE6, DmC, LP3, or Remember Me happen (at least not in a timely manner), so I'm keeping my expectations low.

Given how little Revelations sold and Capcom has already shown willingness to uport 3ds games to wii u; I wouldn't be shocked if Capcom ported Revelations to Wii U.

I suspect Capcom and other japanese developers will keep their big western titles(RE5, RE6, RE:ORC, DMC, MGS, FF, Lost planet, etc) for 360/PS3 and their succesors meanwhile Wii U will get the more japanese centric titles(MH, DQ).

Are there any upcoming events where we might learn more about these secret wii u games? How big is capcom's presence at tgs normally?
