You are assuming they are even making Capcom All Stars to begin with.
I would bet on them including OG Dante for any crossover title in the future. DMC3 Dante was very well received in UMVC3.

Ugh, the game itself didn't even scream big budget to me, but it played wonderfully. There's still a chance for the series to do well, especially since it's one of the only games that mixes western fantasy wtih japanese action gameplay.Just type in Dragons Dogma and Most expensive, and the hits keeps flowing

Haha, that fucking train. The bane of random matches, people would just keep falling off it.
Lost Planet could still be THE premier Japanese 3rd person shooter. It would have been Vanquish, but no one will give that franchise another go.
Series still has HUGE potential in a way being a fully realized 3D Contra-like experience (which is what Extreme Condition felt like in many ways). It NEEDS a dedicated team for sure though.
Everyone could use more Vanquish!
Why does Capcom hate Megaman so much?
Inafune championed it and then left the company under not so amicable conditions.
Now they wont go near it and treat it like the stepchild hidden in the basement
I feel kind of alone on this, but...
I fucking LOVE Lost Planet. The series is fantastic. It's an interesting shooter with cool mechanics.
Never heard of this "Bros of War". Is it a downloadable title?SEGA doesn't seem to think so
Amazing age we live in were one of the greatest shooters ever comes out and seemingly has no legacy at all
...but people will continue to eat up trash like Bros of War![]()
Back in 2013 or so, Capcom claimed they wanted more DMC by 2015. With how little has been said since and how we've literally had no rumors in a year and a half ( DmC rumors were already floating around less than a year after DMC 4), I'm guessing plans have changed.
I don't know about that, He pushed a few titles into the publics eye that weren't greenlighted. Got them hype left them to fall. Then goes and makes a clone. It has always looked to me like he set Mega Man to fail so he can go and do Might No 9.

Isn't the father of Resident Evil no longer with the company?

Mikami and Kamiya left a long time ago, yeah
Mikami has evil within coming out. Kamiya recently had wonderful 101...
If the world, character/enemy animation and effects in Dragon's Dogma don't scream high budget then I don't know what does.
Sooo, what about the X series, MM 9, 10, Legends, etc.?
It always read to me like he was one of the few left at Capcom who gave a shit about the character.
He's only making Mighty No9 because he CANT make another legit MM and is tired of seeing his former employer let the IP rot.

You sure he's making MNo9 because he's tired of not seeing megaman games? If that was the case he would have stayed at capcom and helped get the games greenlit and made.
Dragon's Dogma was definitely high quality. Anyone who says otherwise is a. . .
is weak to ice and fire both!
They have nothing to do with what I am talking about. He tried to push out Universe and Legends 3 before they were given the full ok. The public loved them hell I bought my 3DS just for Legends 3. But then what? he just dumped them so since the lead and brains behind them go they are just set up to fall.
He is making MNo9 because it seems to me he set MM to die and for Capcom to take a hit so he could go and make a new company with a similar name and a clone of a game he left to die.
You get it.

Yeah so why would it matter if that dude left Capcom that made Megaman, if other people that created Resident Evil have left and that franchise has not been forgotten.

Because the other people who are still there don't wanna make those games.
Didnt he also say he wanted to consult/help MML3 if Capcom would let him?
He was leaving the company regardless because he got tired of upper management shortsightedness and sshouldn't be the sole person the blame for those project failures.
Or because since they took such a heavy hit and lost a lot due tosomeone leaving they are having to take a big step back and see where the series is going after pouring so much money into titles they were set up to die.

Dude.... what?
Those projects hardly broke that Company. Shit like Dark Void, DmC, the bloated RE6, insistance doubling down on all things Monster Hunter, shady DLC practices, not Capcom japan not giving a shit about what the US branch thinks, etc, is what has put the company where it is.
Oh my god I had completely forgotten about Dark Void...
Masterpieces all, you can't go wrong.
It doesn't take 2 years to do that. Even if you're right, that only continues to show how poorly managed Capcom is right now.
You know, its actually a good game with a wonderful soundtrack/main theme. It just BOMBED though.... it was from some Crimson Skies folks too![]()

But that's my point, the series has no identity. Extreme Conditions is sort of like a 3D Contra, they tried to Monster Hunter-ise the series with Lost Planet 2 and Lost Planet 3 is an awkward mash-up of an "openworld" game and a story-driven, boiler plate, cover-centric third person shooter. I don't even know what the deal is with the cel-shaded Japan only Lost Planet. Whatever potential the series had has long since been muddled.
If there's another Lost Planet, it's just going to be like Lost Planet 3 and probably developed by Spark Unlimited.
I don't understand the high amount of hate toward Lost Planet. The first two games were unique and both had fun gameplay mechanics.
You're all horrible. HORRIBLE!
I don't think I'd like if Capcom pulled a Sega with these franchises. (although, like Sega, I'd mostly only be there for one of them)
Yo, is Jun Takeuchi even still at Capcom?
*shrugs*If the world, character/enemy animation and effects in Dragon's Dogma don't scream high budget then I don't know what does.
Lost Planet 2 has one of the best boss fights in gaming. Four players on a bullet train while a giant monster is eating the train. Two players are sprinting to load ammo into a giant gun mounted on the train to cause damage to the boss, making sure the gun doesn't overheat. Another player steadies his aim as he blasts his rocket launcher at the boss. The fourth player managed to snag a helicopter and is now in the sky, zipping along the train and depositing bullets into the boss. It's bliss, pure bliss.
Then they dropped co-op in 3.

1 was great
2 was great but had super shitty netcode which made it extremely difficult to play with other people.
3 was a bad dead space clone that never should have been made.
Yo, is Jun Takeuchi even still at Capcom?
Personally I would absolutely love a next gen Lost Planet with a focus on co-op like Lost Planet 2.
Lost Planet? Really? REALLY?
That's a hard one to swallow.
