Capcom's QTE fest is $10 on XBL

Asura's Wrath + the Episode IV DLC was my GOTY 2012, no joke.

Tempted to burn my last 400 points on Lost Planet 2. I got a decent kick out of the boss battles in the first one, never got around to the sequel.

I'm in the dashboard beta and bought some points and it says I have $58.00 in credit but how do I purchase a game with this credit? The only options I have available is Paypal, credit card and points on the website. Do I actually have to purchase this on my console?

I hope many people can give it a shot with it being $10. As people already mentioned, think of Asura's Wrath as an interactive anime. This is one of the few games with not only actually interesting (Street Fighter DLC) and great DLC (Episode Part IV), but one of the best and satisfying endings this generation.

When I played the AW demo missing QTE inputs didn't seem to do much(or anything at all), am I misremembering? And how representative is the demo compared to the full game experience btw? Is there actual challenge in the game?

It is okay, but don't expect a game that is as unique as the first one. It is worth playing once or twice, though.

Always been curious after initially hearing it takes a bit after Monster Hunter. The MP demo years ago was pretty, but I couldn't get into it. Still, at $5...if the community is dead, is the game even worth it?

There are regular 3D battles.

Rankings come into play for fumbling QTE's, etc... Mostly just necessary for achievement purposes and some unlockables(like different modifiers for the game experience and how your power gauge functions).

The game can be a bit challenging if going for good rankings, not super tough, but enough to pay attention and not just putz around. Also achievements are a bit of a burden since it demands you play through multiple times with the different unlockable modifiers...don't see myself getting the full 1000 here.

Still, it's a beefy game and best to think of it more of an interactive anime than a "game". If you aren't cringing at that thought, then it's a steal at $10.

I had to drop down to Easy during the Episode IV DLC because a certain boss battle seemed impossible and I almost never do that. I might have been missing something obvious, though.

For the most part the game is pretty easy, and the actual combat is super basic and low-tier compared to NG/DMC/Bayonetta.

If you're thinking about the
god
battle, s/he's got a very small opening, but once you actually start landing hits, s/he starts to stagger pretty quickly.

I sold my copy of AW a while ago, But I'm thinking of buying it again just to replay the Nirvana DLC....

It's just so fucking amazing

They haven't made the transition yet on Xbox.com. I had to buy it from the console.

What a perfect timing as I was actually searching around to pickup a cheap copy of original Lost Planet just yesterday.
Colonies edition does have original LP, no?

On what planet do people find these sale amazing? Most of the games are more or less the same priced used, and you get to have the option of having a physical disc + manual + option to resell it later.

Yes. Colonies is another version of LP1. But it isn't compatible with LP1's multiplayer community it's it's own separate community. Like Street Fighter 2: Turbo isn't the same as Super Street Fighter 2: Turbo despite being the "same game."

Bonus is if there are still PC players playing you can play with them through the cross-platform play between 360/PC owners.

On the planet where no1currs about retail discs, so... Earth?

As a game it's not really much, but the story is awesome beyond reckoning. The final boss also did have a somewhat cool use of QTE events.

Still shady that they put the finale and best part as dlc though I still bought it.

Asura's Wrath has surprisingly held its value, probably due to a small initial allocation with no re-orders. I don't believe you can find a copy for $9.99 or ÂŁ8.99.

Feel free to prove me wrong of course.

How the heck is this game on XBL but on PSN?
Well whatevs, hope the EU summer sale has the AW DLC on sale.

As mentioned on Capcom Unity before, Games on Demand releases are essentially only a paperwork submission, where PSN releases require a separate submission, development, and QA process. I don't think that's widely known. Makes the 3 month wait for new releases even more silly.

Microsoft is finally starting to have some great deals. If they would have done this two years ago, they would have built up a lot more goodwill going into Xbox One.

While in the beta yes.

question for players who have the Asura's Wrath DLC:

Do you still need to beat the original game on S rank to see the scene with Olga and the Golden Spider? Surely its essential to linking the two chapters together.

I am considering picking up the DLC and playing through the whole thing again.

Bought Asura's Wrath. Thinking about buying Megaman 9 and 10.

Goddamn XBL sales. My backlog is getting out of control.

No,
just replay the chapter again. No S-rank needed.
the DLC is one of the best DLCs. Blows away the main game.

Where can you find you most of these games used at these prices? People already mentioned AW, but I don't think I've seen DMC4 go for $5 or the DMC Collection go for $15. I guess you could get really lucky with eBay bids or something, but neither of those are you going to find anywhere new or used at those prices without having to worry about taxes and shipping.
