It's funny how almost every airport charging at eachother scene from the TV spots does NOT feature Spidey even though that one funky japanese TV spot has him edited in.

I wonder if he's also in the stare contest scene?

Funko who? Fresh from their Facebook - Hot Toys merchandising is in full gear:

All that can be yours for the low price of $3300!

If I had the money, I'd totally buy them all.

man I really hope Hot Toys does a figure for Civil War Spider-man and they are just waiting until after the movie is out to unload it all over my face

I think it will be a Star Wars scenario.

In which we got Rey merchandise a bit after the movie came out. Disney ain't gonna skimp on the chance to sell Spidey stuff.

Please please tell me this guy is intentional satire. I can't picture anyone actually being in so deep with superhero film franchises.
Nope. Its real, he also uploaded a video after his 8th viewing of BvS.

But this dude is just silly, wtf is going on in his life that makes him hate so much.

Spoil this for me GAF.

do you guys mean this shot?

if so, yes spider-man is all up in that shot, but I think he's next to war machine. spider-man is in a TON of the airport shots from the trailers, like it's really weird to see those scenes now without spidey

Good lord those hot toys look dope. Wish I had the cash to spend on that.

Yup that's the one.

I don't think I'll ever find Rhodes interesting or cool. He's literally just a C-tier Tony.
Most of his scenes in the MCU are straight up badass. They dropped the ball on his dynamic with Tony, but I think that's more because there were more interesting storylines to tell.

I rewatched IM1 and actually really like Rhodes in that, his relationship with Tony is great and he actually has things to say and do. I don't put any blame past that on Cheadle, I just don't think the writers have given him anything to work with. A missed opportunity, really.

No, its Amazing Spider-Man 2 after the studio got called out.

Edit: I am wrong. Rise of Electro is the Subvtitle.

Germany and its Subtitles. WTF is this with the studios here that they have to add a stupid subtitle here???
It's not just Germany, LatAm usually gets some additional or changed subtitles as well:
  • El Sorprendente Hombre Araña 2: La Venganza de Electro (The Surprising Spider Man 2: Electro's Revenge)
  • Thor: Un Mundo Oscuro (Thor: A Dark World)
  • Iron Man: El hombre de Hierro (Iron Man: The Man [made] of Iron, the subtitle was dropped in 2 and 3)
  • Capitán América y el Soldado del Invierno (Captain America and the Winter Soldier)
  • Ant-Man: El Hombre Hormiga (Ant-Man: The Ant-Man)
  • Avengers: Era de Ultrón (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers 1 was called "Los Vengadores")
  • Wolverine: Inmortal (Wolverine: Immortal)
  • Batman: El Caballero de la Noche (Batman: TDK, funnily enough MoS didn't have Superman attached to it)
  • Agent Carter: La Primera Vengadora (Agent Carter: The First [Female] Avenger, not a movie but still :P)
Bonus non-comic examples:
  • Piratas del Caribe: El Cofre de la Muerte (PotC: Death's Chest or The Chest of Death)
  • 007: Operación Skyfall (007: Operation Skyfall)
  • Frozen: Una aventura congelada (Frozen: a frozen adventure)
  • Rápidos y Furiosos: Sin Control (Fast and Furious: No Control, also the name is a pun "Sinco" is pronounced like 5)
There are a gazillion examples, those are the ones I can remember right now. The trend right now seems to be that they are really trying to keep the original names (for series at least) for worldwide brand recognition and then use translated meaning or something about the movie itself as a subtitle, which can be somewhat clunky or odd. I blame Star Wars and Star Trek for that (I guess "La Guerra de las Galaxias" and "Viaje a las Estrellas" plus subtitles were quite the mouthfuls for most people :( )

Only in Germany

Or the people who make the titles for the german market are idiots

ding ding. No one actually *likes* the completely unreasonable renaming of movies, it's just some weird marketing thing that I never understood.

I also love how in the German dub everyone seems to have the same voice lol. There's a reason for the rise of original audio cinemas over here these days, and I'm so happy about it.

These are kinda neat. I don't usually collect things but maybe I could get that Iron Ma...

I don't think the folks who spend $10 on a Funko Pop figure are the same individuals who pay $600 for one of these; or at least these groups don't cross over very much.

the fuck?!

Damn, nevermind. I'll just steal some Funko pop figures from Gordon Shumway's kid.

They're $180 - $350 depending on which figure I think, though still ridiculous amounts of money... I own the Mark XLIV figure from Age of Ultron and the quality is amazing.
