I didn't click it because I'm afraid of spoilers, sometimes, I find it that people who don't like a movie don't care much about dishing out spoilers without warning.

so it's a joke review? is it safe to watch? for laughs?
Why are you in the review thread if you're scared to click on a link that's labeled a review?

I have no problem reading review. I'm just a bit more wary toward negative review, because I've seen a couple negative review toward other movie or games where the reviewer really didn't care for the movie/game that they openly mention spoilers without warning. While at least for positive reviews, I find it that the reviewer usually like the movie enough that they don't want to ruin it for other people and take extra care not to mention potential spoilers.

I usually hold off reading negative review until I've seen the movie myself

I mean, we all know that the score will begin to dip & eventually level out at some point. But for now, the fact that we're at 100% for this long kinda fuels our hype. So for now, it's kinda fun to bask in said hype.

I think it'll definitely stay above 90%

I hated Thor 1 so much I had such low hopes for Thor 2 that I came out pleasantly surprised. Worst series in the MCU of course but I can't say I don't like the second one. Only seen it once, though. Probably won't watch it again until Ragnarok

Iron Man 3 is great

Seems like this movie is getting a noticeable bump on the review scorecard for not being Batman vs Superman.
When everything evens out and it is judged on its own merits it will be interesting if it holds up vs Winter Soilder or not
I'd say the vast majority of the reviews are judging the movie absolutely on its own merits with some references to BvS because movies don't exist in a vacuum. The action, character development, and all that is the same whether or not BvS existed or not.

Of course, when the second major superhero movie of 2016 releases mere weeks ago, it would seem silly to expect reviews to not mention it in some shape or form. (ie. Mad Max Fury Road reviews mentioning Furious 7, which had released the month before, since they're both vehicular action movies but with different approaches)

And many reviews seem to be pointing out a key difference that the fight between the heroes here seems earned since we have had so long to get used to the characters and their relationships that it doesn't feel forced.

I guess the part of the fan base that hates Iron Man 3 along with the part that liked Iron Man 3 counteracts to reach the mediocrity levels found in Thor 2. Personally I'm on the team that though Iron Man 3 was great.

I didn't know there we're people who liked Thor 2 over the first one.

My MCU ranking would be as follows:

Great:
Iron Man
TWS
Iron Man 3

Good:
Captain America
GotG

Meh:
Antman
Avengers/AoU
Thor/Incredible Hulk

Crap:
Thor 2
Iron Man 2

Man, Feige told me I would have my shill cash by now. Anyone else having trouble billing Marvel?

I refuse to hype this movie before getting paid.

Personally I view the original Thor as on the high tier of Mediocre marvel films while Thor 2 is at the bottom with Iron Man 2, personally don't think any of the Marvel films are bad or at the very least none are as much of a catastrophe as some of their competitors superhero films can be.

I love the insinuation that Marvel pays off critics. Wouldn't it just be more cheaper and efficient to make a good movie?

I am a part of that camp. Thor 2 was pretty fun.

While Thor 2 is one of my least favorite MCU movies (TIH is my least favorite), I still like it a lot. The whole scene of them trying to escape Asgard felt very reminiscent of Star Wars. I also felt the Earth scenes were fun (in a quirky way). Also, the battle near the beginning felt like a cross between Star Wars and Lord of the Rings.

Isn't it just a meme? Or are there people out there that actually believe it?

While I'm not sure in this case, I think there are people who genuinely believe that type of stuff. They need to rationalize (irrationally) why their favorite thing is panned by critics, are that the thing they hate is praised by critics.
