Loved it so much. Made fhe comic look like a bad adaptation.

And I totally resent everyone talking trash about the villain. He literally was everything Snyder wanted Lex to be.

Seriously. If you don't think it's the best in the MCU, you're gonna be arguing about it a lot, because half of the people who see it will.

Zemo was good, too. The early reviews had me cautious, but he was probably one of the best MCU villains. Low bar, but he was great. A different kind of villain than in the previous movies.

Mmm. Yes. Good stuff.

Wow at these impressions! Could Captain America end up having the most beloved superhero trilogy? I know there isn't much love to First Avenger, but I thought the first half of it was amazingly well done.

Stop it STAHP Killing me all of you are, gonna feint I will.

The only thing I'll say in this thread is that this movie has the best action scenes of any comic book movie

Having said that, I think the character stuff is the real highlight of the film

Also for you three music fans Henry Jackmans score is tuned down a lot more from Winter Soldier, for better or worse

Is it any good though? This is the only thing I'm concerned about, Jackman is just a snoozefest of a composer sometimes (First Class and Kick-Ass had good scores) and I really just hate that he's doing Uncharted 4. I don't think he's terrible, but there's nothing I remember from Winter Soldier for example.

Feige was in the DC thread, he saw what StaticJam posted.

He only has himself to blame.

Also, never read a Black Panther comic in my life nor did I really know a lot about him. I'm definitely going to see his movie. He's one of my favorite characters coming out of this movie. Like the entire feeling of the film itself, he's unique and insanely badass.

Zemo was the weakest point but I understand his point in the film. Marvel is definitely doing something different with him as far as villains go and can't wait to see where his character might end up one day.

these impressions, especially the Spectacular Spidey comparisons... god damn 👌

movie's still so far away... I'm just gonna play TFA and TWS in rotation until May comes fr

The one thing I remember about the score in Winter Soldier is when the end fight between Cap and Bucky gets really nasty, the music is like "EVERYONE'S DEEEEAD!"

You'd think this movie opens next week or something. Dammit.

Gonna be watching Kimmy Schmidt season 2 one episode per day until it opens here.

I barely noticed it, but that might be because the spectacle took most attention

Nothing memorable about the score. Serviceable. Didn't really care because my eyes were glued to the screen and the Russo brothers version of the Avengers is everything I've wanted (less one liners, more, almost tangible emotion).

Holy shit so it's true. Marvel and the Russos really delivered.

Mother of God.

One question guys I see lots of posts about all the other Avengers but at the end of the day this is a Captain America film and he's my favorite at least in terms of how he is presented in the MCU.

Is Cap amazing in this?

Lawd the thought that BvS and Civil War were at one point going to share the same opening weekend is hilarious to me now given the contrast in reactions.

So Zemo is not a one off villain? That'd make me happy.

This is his film, through and through. It literally tore me apart what his character has to go through, even to the very last scenes. He's my favorite Marvel character, easily. When Phase 3 characters take over in Phase 4, I will miss him dearly but BP is a good replacement for me. He seems like a good fit to lead the Avengers in a film one day.

So the Marvel movies mostly continue having meh scores. Which, you know, really kind of sucks because comic superheroes are so thematic and you'd think they'd try a bit harder to carve out some fantastic and memorable themes. Brian Tyler tried a bit in Iron Man 3 and Thor 2, and I loved James Horner's Amazing Spider-man theme, but that's about it when it comes to recent stuff.
