80-90% of the cinema I've booked in is full now. I just checked by trying to get more tickets just to see the seat layout. Luckily I bought my seats weeks ago so I'm sitting exactly where I want to be with empty seats either side of me, best way to be.The first viewing (3D) on my local cinema for tomorrow is quite packed.

Man it will be surprising to me if it beats Ultron. The early estimates as of now don't reflect that. Though I hope it does as it seems to be a great film.

Yeah it's weird, some directors work much better under marvels influence then others. I can't really believe that anyone has carte blanche under marvel. The 3Rd act and handling of antagonists is much too similar for that in all their movies.

I think it is time to let go of this performing like a Cap movie. Tracking has opening weekend coming closer to Winter Soldier's domestic total than its OW. Why do you think that overseas will be any different? When has the international market NOT followed a big domestic bump for a film?

I don't want to go too nuts with the domestic gross just yet, but this film has very good chances at $200M in China, and I expect the rest of east Asia to follow suit (minus Japan).
Asia + Latin America could easily gross $500M on their own. Are we calling for less than $500M from North America and Europe combined?

Welp I screwed up badly.
There's a chance, sure. It opens on a Friday. Not many films have managed $100M+ in their first 3 days though. Transformers 4 and Furious 7 are the two Hollywood films that come to mind. Jurassic World did close to $100M in 5 days. Age of Ultron's opening was over $150M, but that was either 6 or 7 days.

The reason for 1 billion is based on previous cap movie. Winter solder was very well made movie yet was only able to do 750 total. This has iron man and fight but once audience finds out this is cap movie not avengers the movie might not have legs. IT will do fine for sure but i do not see doing 1.5 or more everyone is predicting.
