I wonder if this lessens the chance of another 3D Mario on the Wii U in the future. 3D World just isn't enough for me.

Pretty sure it's already been confirmed that they are at work on the next Wii U Mario title. I can't remember where the interview was from though.

Not only that but they let their best development team make it. Cool stuff.

Pretty much. Besides, we have no idea how big this game is... It could have 100 levels for all we know. People should be more pissed that they keep getting charged 60$ for slightly altered versions of the game they got last year.

If this is retail, Nintendo would be smart to make this $39.99, unless it has like 200 levels or something. The fact that it doesn't have Mario on the cover or mention his name in the title means it will automatically sell less.

Like most people, you must not have read the Iwata Asks for Mario Kart 7... It was a full collaboration. And yes, they did just help a bit with DKCR 3D. But then again, it's not like the NES remixes were some huge undertaking either.

Poor NST. I was actually so excited because the 3DS Mario vs Donkey Kong game is such a departure from the previous games. It's fresh, innovative, and unique. Unfortunately, for the Wii U, it's back to Lemmings...

Today was a huge day for Nintendo, but I think that this, Toad's second video game and first the century, is GOTY material, and the big holiday game for me.

This was my face when it was revealed.

Seriously, the game looks gorgeous, and it looks expandable! If it sells well enough, you can bet there will be expansion added to it!

I was afraid we wouldn't get much Mario love this year; I am so fucking happy I was wrong.
