only reason i go there is for the western burger. you can usually get them 2 for 5 bucks with a coupon they always send in the mail every couple of weeks.

They premiered the full version during the Rick and Morty surprise last week so I assumed it was an April Fools prank :V

the sexual stuff is a bit cringe but doesn't make me as uncomfortable as that avatar. Why do they always seem like cropped porn n making a perverted expression

Believe it or not, it wasn't what I had in mind when I commissioned the piece. Still, I don't think it's that bad and really think a lot of people just assume sex when ever they see a furry avatar. Says more about them than it does about me IMO.

They probably switched Ad agency. The new agency realized that the sex-related-ads of a fucking burger were out of tone in this time and age so they created a story to justify the change and basically make Carl Jr great again.

the ad is long because is basically a manifesto of the new ad concept. Axe is another great example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzTSE6kcLwY
The new agency in charge of AXE is 72andsunny, and the account is being managed by an argentine woman

The shorter version is better not so much useless goofiness about the son. More about the food. already seen it a lot online.

Their food serves as a great example of how terrible fast food is for you.

I mean they put a hot dog frank on a burger.

they're both Carl Jrs and Hardees in the US, it depends on what side of the country you're on. Carls for western, Hardees generally middle to the east

(i don't get why they haven't unified the brands, either)

This is actually pretty common (Best Foods/Hellmans, Sweet Tomatoes/Souplantation, Edy's/Dreyers, etc.) - it's about brand history. If someone's been buying Edy's for years and years, and you suddenly change the brand name to Dreyers to unify the brand, that customer will see that their brand is no longer being sold and will pick another brand, which may or may not be Dreyers - hence, lost sales. Sometimes it's just better to leave a long-standing brand name as-is rather than risk losing sales.

Holy fuck that's Chip Esten.

I've seen both Edy's and Dreyers, Edy's is always marketed as a Dreyers' cheaper B-tier brand.

This is a pretty cool way to take the L for a shitty d campaign. This genuinely unique recovery gives them a much stronger footing than a normal set of new commercials.

Yeah, but the thing is, Hardee's basically did just that to a midwestern burger chain called "Burger Chef" (who actually invented the Happy Meal, called "Fun Meal", which McDonald's then ripped off). They bought them out in '82 and proceeded to rebrand them as Hardee's

I agree with your premise, as a fan of Burger Chef, I always resented Hardee's and refused to eat there for years unless my only other choice was Burger King.

Loved the commercial. I think it's a cool way to acknowledge that "sex sells" isn't good enough anymore, regardless of why that is.
