Protip: when comparing things its always important that you look beyond a single variable. Ignoring the fact that Nintendo had for the second generation made a huge mistake in media choice and MS was coming into the market with little 3rd party support is being disingenuous.


Then you have the fact that the first year of this gen posting zoomed in screen shots of multiplats to show the differences between 720/900 vs 1080 was an every release occurance. The concerned trolling for Xbox fans was legendary.

Now your trying to sell specs dont matter on a gaming enthusiast website.

The ps2 had the superior library. Plain and simple. Its specs didn't matter. The switch is outselling the ps4 most months and has outsold the xbone. Those specs though right?
Let's not forget about the Wii. Huge success. Little specs. You need more examples?

Yeah specs did matter it's just people prefer to play more games which the other platforms didn't get as many titles. You are confusing didn't affect with doesn't matter. Because the majority of the games on the system looked fugly as hell.

So what? You've proved my point. Those fugly games on the inferior system sold better. It wasn't even a close race that generation. It's not close this generation either despite the ps4 and xbone being of similar spec.

And you missed mine, this is not the PS2 GameCube Xbox generation. The Sony system is not going to get the overwhelming exclusive support the PS2 did. The point you're trying to make is irrelevant to this upcoming generation.

The reason so many sold so well is due to the fact they had a better performing machine at a lesser price. Sony's first year of software output was hot garbage yet it still outsold handily. As far as some Sony fans it's about what Sony currently has the advantage in. I swear every PS Plus account must include free Wheels to attach to a goal post. :p

So what makes you think next gen will be any different? You think because the Microsoft box might have a few more tfs that it will somehow magic thier software output into something not shit?

By all means if you have some knowledge that the rest of us dont about the xsesxs upcoming library please share. In the meantime I'll wager the market leader with the objectively better library will stay winning. Keep waving that losing flag though.

Microsoft getting a better Library of games won't make them dominate in sales either even though it's helped build Sony's foundation and will bring some ppl back to Xbox. Ppl act like PS3 versus 360 didn't happen. True, Xbox might have won tht Gen but it wasnt bcus of sales bcus as soon as ps3 released for hundreds more, with inferior multiplats and Xbox good will from the previous Gen it still outsold Xbox 360 almost every single month world wide. It just took heavy losses on price of the console, thts what screwed it. Sony's mindshare and hold are just too strong. I bring up tht gen bcus ps3 was hundreds more for awhile, had inferior multiplats and for first half games like Gears and Halo were going toe to toe with Sony exclusives but ppl still chose ps3. Shit ps3 even had the online meltdown where ppl couldn't get online for months and ppl still kept buying it.

By continuing to release games people actually want to play? It's really that simple. The xbox one was a horrible disaster of a console. The original hardware was garbage and thier software output has stayed mediocre at best. Do you dispute any of this? Did they just throw this gen in the shitter on purpose? Next gen is going to be the big comeback? Please.

A Real insider is going to give you some type of real info that no one else knows. Numbers, CU counts, frequencies, etc. are good examples of the type of info that would give someone credibility.

So far it looks like this:

PS5 has "godfall" this game looks like hot shit. People won't buy this crap.

Series X has Hellblade II and Halo Infinite. Those look great. Got a lot of positive feedback online and people are hyped af for those games.

So - currently - with everything we know about their respective and announced games library:

PS5 = hot shit
Xbox Series X= fucking Great.

by YOUR logic: Xbox will sell much better nextgen.

And Honda Civics and Toyota Corollas are always among the best selling cars every year too. The types of cars people don't want to pay more than $400, unlike an Xbox or PC part...... Oops. I meant $20,000.

We dont know much about nextgen library, so we cant just magically assume that PS5s library is going to be fantastic and series X library is going to be dog shit. We just dont know. I mean, based on what we know right now, well yeah, Series X library looks better.. we only know about "godfall" for PS5 and this one looks like crap... or is there anything else announced exclusively for PS5? tell us, if you know more. btw, I hate your avatar pic, this should be forbidden, also I cant take peoply seriously, who use these kinds of monkey emoji: 🙈🙉🙊 this is just horrible.

Me, I had three generations of X-Box and four of PS to know that PS always wins in first party exclusives. Are you really so disillusioned to actually think that the PS5 will only have Godfall to show for? Or do you think that suddenly Obsidian is going to make games which will make Witcher III look like crap? Or do you seriously believe that Sony won't invest on new IPs as well as sequels for established and already beloved IPs like Horizon, TLoU, Spider-Man, God of War, Uncharted, etc.?

X Series X is going to be amazing, but thinking that Series X seems to have an amazing portfolio because of Halo Infinite and Hellblade 2 (which are going to be cross-gen titles so that immediately dampens their awesomesauce) and PS5 looks like crap because of *one* THIRD-PARTY exclusive (although I shudder at the thought of someone seeing Godfall's engine and calling it 'crap'), that reeks of trolling and makes people automatically not take you seriously (unless they're deluded fanboys).

Both consoles are going to rock. Sony will have more first party exclusives.

The difference is that I'm willing to have a discussion and keep myself informed of all situations in gaming. Whether I enjoy them or not.

I don't pretend I don't have a bias, but I still stay up to date on all things, even if I don't personally enjoy them.

The same can't be said of some of the people on my ignore list.

Godfall looks like a real game and it looks great, once it's an action slasher, especially at 60fps, I'm in. I like the setting and I'm looking forward to the story behind it..It's definitely caught my interest, the character designs look ace, the bosses in that game should be something....

Hellblade is a video, there was nothing about it to get excited forere was nothing that made me say "I want to play this", just a face on a screen at 23.976fps with lots of background blur.....

You are praising Halo Infinite just like I witnessed all the hype for Halo 5.....Coming off Halo 5, I think a wait and see is essential......In my history
of gaming, I have never seen a Halo game forgotten as quickly as Halo 5......Is Bungie back on Halo to garner all this excitement for Infinite?
