CD Projek" is officially changing its name to CD Projekt RED following a shareholder vote.

Some may be surprised by this announcement, so let's provide a little more context. Many may be unaware that the name CD Projekt RED actually referred only to the division of the group responsible for developing and publishing video games. Meanwhile, CD Projekt was the name of the Polish holding company that oversaw these subsidiaries.

To explain this change, the board of directors stated that the name change was intended to "unifying the company's name with the name of the CD Projekt RED studio."
