Emu is always being optimized. I would think in a year this one would be doing better than it is now for sure.

No it won't.
Even a 7600k @5.3GHz can't do it (CEMU doesn't care about hyperthreading)

What about 1440p?

Just use 4k, it downsamples on a 1440p monitor and it's entirely gpu dependent. Pretty sure you could easily play it with a 970 or something at 4k.
