Who in the Fuck counts San Jose as central California?

Anyone with the most rudimentary sense of geography?

To have a "north" a "south" and a "central" you must divide the state evenly into three sections.

Of course the problem with "central" is that it denotes the middle, confusing coastal with interior and with mountain cities. So I prefer a more neutral term.

Sacramento counts as Central California, right? Sunny here.
Don't stay in that sun too long bro, I hear in California if you stay out in the sun too long you can spontaneously combust. The sun is dangerous man.

Are you new to California?

Huge thunderstorms right outside my house. Lightning striking on both sides of our area. To top it off it was already reaching 80 degrees. WTF.

The funny thing is that we live in the same city, and I have no idea what you're talking about. It's just a bit overcast here. :p

The map is terrible. Basically, anything south of the grapevine is socal. Anything north of fresno is norcal. Anything in between fresno and the grapevine, including fresno and the grapevine, is central california. Excepting San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara, we don't talk about central california and we sure as hell don't go to central california. Would be better if it didn't exist.

Honestly, I didn't know there was so much of our state north of Sacramento. Probably infested with Oregonians up there.

Without Fresno most of the world would have shitty fruit.

Yea we don't get these often. It's raining cats and dogs out there now. Now I have to drive to work with a bunch of incompetent fools on the road. For some reason people love forgetting how to drive properly at the first sign of rain.

When it doesn't rain for 4 months, the first rain makes the road very slippery. If you're driving around with bald tires like a lot of idiots do, you're going to skid.

Bakersfield area around here (about 30-40 minutes north of bakersfield) aaaaaaannnnnd what rain? It's cloudy I guess.

It's also 97 degrees.

God I hate this place.

Except for that one day like 12 years ago it snowed. That day was fucking awesome.

I live in Arvin, some small town to the south. :] Nobody know where that is, so I just say Bakersfield for all intents and purposes.

Guess the weather made it's way to Vegas. Lightning going off every 5 seconds at the moment.

It flash floods here with an inch of rain so this should be interesting.

Edit- Holy Shit, this is nutty. Just saw a plane get hit by lighting.

So Cal is weird, 7.0+ earthquake, everyone acts like nothing happened. Once it starts raining in October/November all Hell breaks loose.

Lived in Cali most my life...so true, so true....ahahahah

Good thing they're built to absorb that... Must be scary as hell though.

You live in a town named after me! Awesome!

On a particularly boring day in the past, Wikipedia alerted me of this, much to my surprise.

Orange County here, we got a pretty decent amount of ping pong ball sized hail. I haven't seen it hail here in years, and hail in September is pretty much unheard-of

People in the Midwest know what rain is like. I was driving cross-country in July and the storms in the Midwest had me in awe of my insignificance to the world as I saw those vast walls of gray stretch across the plains and unabashedly drench miles of land. Any rain in Cali just makes me unpleasantly soggy :/
