edit: after ~500 reloads I finally got the little quality setting button and could change to 360p, now the stream is working

What works is. Follow the stream. Go to your videos and click on whoever you are following and want to go to. You should be in their videos section, then go to view their channel. This worked for me whenever I get that stupid white page nonstop loading thing, including my own stream.
