Challenge: List 500 things you want

It is amazing how vacuous 95 percent of your list is. Like, your quality of life and enjoyment thereof would not be benefited almost one bit. Absolutely batshit insane. It's your life, but like Tom Hardy in Inception said, "don't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling."

There is no way I could get to 100, much less 500. Of the ~100, I would say land paid-in-full somewhere nice would be on the list, money to see my through my needs (healthcare, food, clothing, shelter, and travel) would be perfect.

I think most of those 500 things for me would just fall under "mo money". Less rampant materialism and moreso properties, general financial security etc. I'll also take a warehouse for some insane backpack VR experiences like The Void. Will be my Cartmanland.

I have everything I really want or need, and if I don't have it I just buy it. Life is a lot easier that way.

There are two things I want I guess, a new lens for my camera which I'll buy at some point in the next week or two. And a ps4 when shenmue comes out. I like being able to carry all of my belongings in life on my back. Get that ps4 or other things and I might not be able to do that anymore.

Like, I can think of 500 meals I want and that's a tiny subsection of "things"

You non 500 people lack imagination

No. Some of us just don't want that many things.

I can move my entire life outside of furniture in a single car load. I keep a minimalistic lifestyle and save. I am 39 and hope to be able to retire once we put our child through college.

Then we will read, ride bikes, and just enjoy a quiet life without the constant distraction of modern life.

There is shit loads of stuff I want but 500 things? I think I would definitely struggle unless I listed things separately like..

"DB manga volume 1, 2, 3" etc etc rather than 1 entry as "all DB/DBZ manga"

I could probably hit 500 just by naming places that I want to visit. The people hung up on this as an exercise in materialism are the ones who lack imagination.

I don't know man, "things I want" are not the same as "things I want to do." Everyone wants to do 500 things I reckon. I wanna put my bike back together and ride around the mountains here, I wanna go to Laos next week, I wanna eat some pizza. Easy to list 500 things in that way and I don't think was the point of the thread. Though I guess it could have been considered the OP doesn't say much and the link is the same. Eh... Whatever.

Well, one of the things the guest in the clip wanted was to be on Harveys show. And Harvey didn't seem to object to that... Not sure there are any hard and fast rules to this "challenge" anyway. If you watched the clip you would know the object is basically "dare to dream". What would you get if you could get anything you want? If you can't list 500 of those things, you don't know how to dream is what he says.
I wouldn't consider a place to be a "thing"
I wouldn't call your criticism particularly valid. Because it is not.

I could also be infinitely granular with things i want and i'd probably reach five thousand things. Especially if adjectives are allowed.

Oh there was a video clip? Here in China the website just said list 500 things you want and had some comments. I guess that changes things potentially if there was more context.
