How the hell did jigglypuff of all pokemon get put in the OG game in the first place? It somehow beat out all 3 starters, goddamn jigglypuff kicking ass and taking names.

The Pokemon anime probably had something to do with the inclusion

That and well, they used Kirby's model assets. Same reason with Samus and Capt. Falcon.
