CHART: Penis Sizes Across Europe

How on earth would they ever measure something like this? Samples from each country consisting of 100 male samples I expect. Pretty useless imo. Plus, if you've got a small dick, you're hardly gonna volunteer for this sort of thing. It's bullshit.

These studies are notoriously difficult to determine the accuracy of because the people who participate are likely to be more comfortable with their size than those who choose not to participate. That means the numbers these studies generate could actually be slightly higher than the true average for the general population.

Or perhaps people who are convinced they're below average are the ones who are most anxious to take part in these studies, to bring down the (inter)national average and thus feel slightly better when they see such charts as this.

Interesting chart but probably not in the sense the makers intended. Unless they went door-to-door measuring every penis in Europe, this has to be self-reported lengths meaning it's just a question of how much men dare to exaggerate in any given country. Considering how mixed the genes are in Europe, don't think genetics would explain huge differences. So we got the French, who have their reputation, putting a few more inches in like the Italians (just think how many inches Berlusconi would add to his self-report). Spain is kinda mystifying with the macho culture, but maybe they're just honest. Everyone knows Finland has self-esteem issues so they wouldn't exaggerate as much as their neighbors in the happier scandinavia. Looking at Ireland, it's no wonder, they've been oppressed by the brits and maybe that Catholic ethic won't let them lie about their length...

This could be a start of a whole new field of science. Geopenology?

It's a design project. Most self-report surveys end up with really hilarious results anyways (these ones are just random numbers some guy threw on a chart. I'd wager that most of these numbers are bigger in reality, and the differences between countries are smaller). One that went by age reported the average college student packing 22cm+, and it slowly going down after that :P.

Which is why we should totally do an "average penis size on GAF" chart by self-reporting.
