with all due respect, i just picked up the wheel and need a new racing fix. pgr3 is over a year old now, i'm ready to give myself over fully to team 10. so, where be it? can you give us any juicy updates? can we expect a new pitpass this week at the very least?
 
yea i downloaded the showdown video thinking i might get somenew footage, instead i got this fat dude in tight racing clothes and his racing buddies walking in slow motion to crappy action music.:lol

This is top 3 most anticipated game for me. I'm a fellow wheel owner. I'm waiting anxiously as well.
 
i'd kill for an ingame trailer at this point. i was one of the few impressed with the initial batches of shots, i can only imagine how it looks now, in 60 fps motion. *drools

it has nothing to do with damage modeling or one track one car or anything. the lighting in the GT series has always been VERY realistic. now with the extra hosrepower of next gen that only makes it better. The lighting/color in forza 2 make it look like a damn cartoon in some pics.

The cars in both GT3 and 4 looked better than any car in any XBOX racing game - and the lighting still looks more impressive on those than it does on PGR IMHO. But I'd wait to see what they've done with Forza 2 before comparing with GTHD because it's been MIA for some time now and it could look fantastic by now.

seriously tho. The actual Racing was better in Forza tho. The AI was not brain dead and it had damage. GT it just felt like you were driving Forza felt like a true race.


Isnt that what racing is all about?

i doubt it and before people go and jump all over me like i'm some kinda ps3 fanboy you should look at my post history. I hate the fact that you can get labled just by telling it like it is(within your own opinion). Forza just doesnt look as good as GT. may play better to some or do some things GT doesnt but polyphony cannot be touched as far as graphics go. From the lighting to the camera movement to the car physics which in turn make them look insanely real.

How GT looks has slightly less than nothing to do with the thread. There's plenty of other threads to do this in, other than this one. Derail total.

True both titles are in competition but this thread was created for information about Forza 2 not GT vs Forza.

Competition has lots to do with the game, but nothing to do with the thread! Just busy youself posting about DMC4 in the Lost Planet thread, or Forza in the GTHD thread, or Resistance in the Gears thread, or Killzone in every Halo 3 thread. There's lots of opportunities to dicuss the visual difference between these games, but a thread asking for an update on said game doesn't strike me as one.

uhhh....maybe there is no blitz because they need to get the game up to par??? HELLO? why is this so hard to comprehend? why waste time taking pics and vids and going on a media tour when the game probbaly still needs work? They have the advantage of shipping waaaaaaaay ahead of GT5. GTHD just game out to give the forza team a heads up on where the competition truly is and IMO from whats been shown of forza 2 so far and what i've seen of GTHD, Forzas fine being delayed as long as it still hits before GT5 and PGR4.

Intitally they said it would be out in November. I think that is why people are antsy.
 
Considering the fact that we gaffers spend most time on this forum instead of gaming.....gives us teh media.

Otherwise we have nothing to do until june. It is june now, isn't it?

You got all this from them not releasing info 5 days into 2007?

Also just because there is no new info on the game still does not mean turn this thread into a fight between GT and Forza.
delays can come from anything (framerate issues maybe?) even if they did see GTHD and it looked great do you really think they would halt a media tour? Hell no,they released those pictures last year when they looked worse than PGR.
Forza is about customization and Simulation and will most likely never look as good as GT5.
As PD will most likely be sitting on a massive budget.

You have come to your conclusions about Forza based on what you want the reason to be.

Anyway i'll have both so who gives a shit

Same here. This year has the potential to be a great year for racing fans and I'm ready for Forza 2 to kick the year off. I don't want them to rush the game or anything, but I'm ready for anything Forza 2 right now.

My son is also ready to go kicky fast in Forza 2.

My guess is they want to blow the doors off of all the critics who weren't so nice about the last batch of screens. Don't give the trolls a reason, or something like that.

Except that the GT fanboys that actually make posts like that, are simply that, just fanboys and no matter what Forza 2 does they will NEVER be swayed from GT anyway. They only post to troll and flame, with no real intention of actually trying Forza 2 with an open mind, no matter how good the game was, looked, or played.
 
Demo might not be such a good idea. I loved the demo of the first Forza, probably played it more than the final game, but I didn't exactly get the hype train started. All people did was complain. Just let them finetune the game and make the wait worthwhile.
