Hey folks,

Anyone know a up to date and legit place I can get one of those cheap 12/13 month Live deals from? My renewal is due this month so might as well save myself £15 or so.

I know it's pretty off topic, but I've heard people talk about US sites that email you XBLM codes, does anybody know a reliable one of them? I have a US Gamertag and it seems like I may as well buy my rhythm game DLC and XBLA games using it and save a bit of the exchange rate.

Has anyone else received some games from play that aren't in "official" cases?

Most 360 cases have a partition down the side of the case (where you open the box) and a yin/yang sort of button to release the CD, but my copy of SR2 and The Last Remnant have neither.

There is more than one type of box for XBOX 360 games, I've even come across shrinkwrapped 360 games with cases for 2 DVDs etc.

Last Remnant official case fits two DVDs so its gonna be a bit different. There's two discs in that box ;)

Also for MS points etc, seriously, eBay. You get the code within hours, maybe next day, you redeem it via your pc/xbox.com.

why bother buying a card, waiting for it to arrive, scratching it off, and then redeeming it? More expensive too. Christmas post to deal with right now as well.

you don't need to register with a whole new retailer either.

ebay isnt as cheap as £14.99 for 2100 points
 
I was rather non-specific with that. TLR has the button for 2 discs (with the number 2 on it) as it should but, unlike my copy of Lost Odyssey which has the button (for 3) plus a partitioned side, this has no partition.

It's not something that affects my enjoyment of anything but the boxes feel a little flimsy compared to 95% of my other games and it was just something I noticed.
 
Man I am so glad I saw the POP deal yesterday on Game as apparently most of their deals are back @normal again, ME, POP, Fallout etc. all cost 35 - 39 pounds again. They are adjusting pretty frequently so if anyone sees an interesting deal, go for it. (and share with us :D)

This is why I hate Play.com sometimes...my Prince of Persia order was in "Processing" till 9am this morning when I ordered 11pm Sunday. Surely they could have processed and despatched my order on Monday?

I remember when I pre-ordered Radiant Dawn and No More Heroes as well as Samba de Amigo...it was in "processing" from Wednesday till Friday...and they only shipped it Friday evening. I said never again will I pre-order from there. Amazon, Shopto and Zavvi have all been very good for pre-orders. Zavvi even get it to me 1 day early in the case of Gears of War 2 LE.

Oh and my friend is still waiting for his Left 4 Dead to come it was despatched on the 7th of December...:D

Well I ordered Pure for £9.99 and it says awaiting stock, I don't think stock is coming anytime soon but when it does I should be getting it for 10 quid :lol

Supposedly my Tomb Raider and Prince of Persia have been despatched today, but play.com regularly bullshits about the date of despatch. As long as it's here before Xmas I'm a happy chappy. :D
