even so, i ended up getting it (just received today along with bioshock PS3) and both of them ended up costing me 20 € less than a regular store bought PS3 game, which cost circa 69€ here...

this thread has just saved my christmas!

If you add the hidden postage cost into the price, which they have to facotr in when shipping overseas, then it somewhat softens the blow, but I admit they are still a few Euros too high, and it makes you think when buying a few games.

Actually all play.com prices are inclusive delivery. Still I agree that they should adjust their rate a bit to current conditions. If memory serves right, they already did that in the not too distant past.

however i`m still wayting for my copy of LBP that i had ordered almost a week earlier :\

I might buy the elite and then swap the drives and get a refund of 229 for my old one at the other store. £60 in my pocket.
 
I was tempted to get another guitar hero but they didn't have any world tour in.

also, they say 30% off, but at this stage its worth going in and offering them something - you have nothing to lose. Bear in mind they are so desparate they are selling off fixtures and fittings!

if they had any PS3s in, that'd be £199 which would be tempting for a 2nd machine, but I'm hanging on for a white one to be released over here.

Just bought a copy myself seeing as it was on my PS2 to buy list.

EDIT - Out of stock now. Hmm, I ordered about 5 minutes ago and it was still in stock.

EDIT 2 - No wait. Now it's saying available for immediate dispatch again.

Yeah it's showing up as out of stock now. I think I may have secured a copy as it was definitely in stock when I ordered, but whether I'll actually get it remains to be seen.

I loved the demo but I'm a bit short on cash right now and Valkyria is simply way more bang for my buck. I wish I could just get every damn deal in this thread. I have a hard time not abusing my creditcard. :lol

(According to my brother who was at Albany Rd store today there were no points left in stock. Not sure what games they have, but he left with the intention of getting QoS and came back with Civ Rev instead)

only stores that close on the 27th, the other ones that close later will have 50% off 4 days before closure and then 90% off on the last day.

stores open tommorow from 9am to 8pm.
 
blahdvd.com currently has the best prices for clearance Wii games, and they're absolutely awesome if you live outside the UK due to the €-£ rate. Besides, shipping outside UK is only £1 for games and ultra fast too. I ordered Batallion Wars 2 on Thursday night and I got it in the mailbox this morning.

And lots more around £16. Just add £1 for shipping, change £ into € and you're set.
 
I'll be heading the old swan too. Was in the one in town today and was nothing worth getting at all. The blu-rays were still £20-£30, didn't see how much MSpoints were.
