Oh also today in a new store (I never seen it before) called Grainger Games they had Dark Sector brand new and still wrapped for £5 a copy, I decided to buy one and I have to say the game isn't that bad, I never knew it had the same type of 3rd person shoulder camera most games use now.

They also had Dead Space 360 for £28 new & Mass Effect 360 new for £10, dunno if that's any cheaper then other places.

The store could just be a Middlesbrough local thing since it was not here before christmas when I went back home for 3 weeks.

Grainger Games started out here in Newcastle quite a while ago but has expanded quite rapidly recently and was awarded independant game retailer of the year a month or so back. They're usually by far the best place around in terms of pricing and the 'Boro branch opened last summmer some time, you must have just missed it.

Yeah there has been some good priced items in there, I also picked up a 2nd hand SEGA superstars tennis for £8 and the disc has only one little mark on it. It's right next to Zavvi so I must have some serious blind spot in my vision :lol

I just ordered the SF4 CE (PS3) from GAME as I can get better value from it (Quidco + points) than getting it from Play.com, but as I went to cancel my order on Play I noticed that they've dropped the price of the CE to £59.99 from the £69.99 it was at when I ordered.

Not sure if it's available out there for less, but thought it worth sharing.

Anyone know best place for Skate or Skate 2?

Skate X360 - £16 - HMV.com

That sucks, really want the 360 version.

it was £9.99 on play.com like three weeks ago, maybe it'll be back at that prices sometimes in the next month.

Fun little game, definitely worth the 10 pounds I've spent on it, I don't know how I'd feel about paying £15 for it though.

I feel Excite Truck and Motostorm are both superior gameplay-wise.

Xbox 360 Dark Sector = £4.26 @ TheHut

Use the discount code JAN10 to get 10% off the listed price.

Surely you got no excuses now...?

/Awaits excuses

The game sucks? I'd rather get Stranglehold for 7.30 or so from the same site - at least it's fun to play. With the 10% off they are not all that different in price either.

But then, I'll not be getting either so.. :lol

Still waiting for Mirror's Edge to hit <15 GBP..

Guys! I need a copy of Professor Laytons and its out of stock everywhere I know.

I don't know about Dark Sector... I've decided no matter how low a price is, it's a bargain only if I've wanted to at least play the game, it's not the price it's my time and I'd rather rent a nice game than buy a mediocre one.
What do you guys say?

edit: seems some of you guys misunderstood me. Again, it's not the price it's my time spent with it.
A game can be 99c and I couldn't care less if it's a bad/mediocre game I won't fucking buy it, I don't wanna add garbage to the world palying frisbee with vgs I don't like.
On the other hand, I can easily buy 5 day-one $50 games in the same month if I think I'll enjoy them.

I'd say that given the game is only £4, even if you don't like it you're not likely to lose any money when you come to sell it on. So essentially what have you lost? You spent £4, played a game, sold it on for £4 and still have money to rent a better game.

Plus your helping the economy, and that's what Chairman Brown would want.

:D

Dark Sector is good.

Yes its derivative and uninspired, but its a good game overall. Good engine, good graphics, good mechanics.. and for £4 people are still complaining?

Christ on a bike.

Just went into a rather big zavvi store here in manchester - utter balls!

Worst sale ever.

Games were full price with a big 20% off all games sign. Mirror's Edge was £40! Next door in Game it was £19 brand new - and they're not having a bloody closing down sale. PES 2009 was £30.

These closing down sales always suck. Godfather bluray wasn't £20 either despite rumours.

Pathetic.

Should have asked them to swipe it through the till, say you saw it should be cheaper online, who in these closing down stores care if the right price ticket is on it? The longer there is stock the longer they get paid

Zavvi and Virgin before it have always had games at the default RRP for ages, you might find the odd lucky deal but most of the time games are £40 on the dot.

I should have brought points from them when I could, never realised their stock is down the drain, the points were one of the only good game bargains to nab there apart from a new wireless pad.

DS Ninjatown £10
DS Lock's Quest £10
DS Dragon Quest IV £15
DS Final Fantasy IV £15
Wii Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn £20

Hells yeah, 1 GBP = 1.1 EUR, go nuts!
(£2.95 shipping to Europe per order, not per item)

Any other UK game sites having some kind of sale? Now is the time to strike!
I saw at http://www.shopto.net/ Okami Wii for £18

I know sites for cheap Xbox Live Gold codes, but where can I find Point cards cheap? Almost everywhere has the same prices for the 2100 point card :(

UK and rest of EUR have the same codes ?

Should I buy Dragon Quest 4?

Tempting (same here) but I bought Ninjatown instead. That game is so awesome (played the demo), and DQIV is just another stupid boring grindfest like all other SE games

Am I getting fired for this?

HMV are buying out a bunch of zavvi stores, so the 20% off deal (at least in my area) has ended today. Good thing I picked up some Blu-Rays yesterday, then!

YES. I love it, and I don't even like RPGs. It's old-school, but a truly outstanding game. Balances perfectly between simplicity and depth.

Set the battle speed to 1 for maximum speed!

What's the best deal for an X360 console currently? Our Zavvi (Cambridge, Grafton Centre) haven't got any consoles left any more, are there any other retail stores worth checking out or are there any good deals online?

Also, has anyone seen this telly for less than what ebuyer are selling it at? It looks like it'd be a pretty good telly for me to have in my room with my PC and (once I get one) my 360.

The hut okami £12.73. Damn. That's like... €14.19!
has the hut reliable shipping to yurop?

Edit: how much is shipping there, I can't find it at their FAQ (to Belgium, not UK)
Okay never mind, £1 per item extra. Cool.
