Sendit.com has a 10% sale on everything for 24 Hrs.

I'd get Mirror's Edge if it were still 17.45 GBP.. :(

Will check later tonight. THey had Dark Sector for about 4.50 GBP for example, should be 4.10 now. :lol

Yeah, you need to enter 'SENDIT10' in the basket. But it's £4.40. :lol

well after 3 weeks my order from thehut finally showed up. :D

BTW, my missing LBP from play.com also arrived on monday after having been missing for 5 weeks and after having received a replacement. anybody ever had to return a replacement item to play?

Nah, I've kept two replaced games and later traded them in at Gamestop. It's not like they're every gonna know. I only tried returning an already replaced item once, and I had to pay for the postage :(

Does anyone happen to know where I could find a cheap DVI-D cable? Monoprice apparently doesn't ship to Europe :(
It's not that OT, 'cause I'd use it for a gaming PC :lol
Thanks in advance.

God I fucking hate shops that ship from Jersey (Play.com, Thehut, DVD.co.uk, Sendit). You rarely get the game in time and there's always the risk of customs.

I'll give you £1 for it.

no idea mate, saw it on hotukdeals.. and thought GAF would benefit most.
According to their site, they're based in East Sussex..so at least there's an address to track them down with.

I have a stick pre-ordered with ShopTo but... at that price I would have taken a punt, alas it's PS3 price :(

Just a quick question. Say you pre-order something from play.com or amazon.co.uk while not living in the uk. If the item becomes available, does these websites keep the exchange rate from when you purchased the item or do they take the exchange rate at the time of taking money from your credit card.

For example, Killzone 2 is available for 42 euro (33 pound) as preorder. When the item is shipped, is it still 42 euro or is the 33 pound reconverted according to the exchange rate at time of shipping?

Depends on the currency on your receipt. If its in pounds, it´ll be converted on shipment, if its in Euro it´ll stay at that price.

I think the whole idea is that they overcharge you in the first place (by using fictitious exchange rates for their pricing) so that they are covered even if the exchange rates change dramatically. So I think your amount of 42 euro will remain 42 euro, regardless of the exchange rate.

Just trade it in somewhere for another game or put it on ebay

Play exchange rates are fixed at whatever rate play wants them to be, and you agreed to that when you signed up. Or to view it from a different perspective, play doesn't really exchange the currencies. You order at a price in Euros, and it'll stay at that.

On some sites the euro rate is just an indication and has no bearing on what you will actually be charged. When you make the order a PreAuth is made to the bank for the amount required from your card (in GBP). You are usually charged at point of despatch in GBP for the original amount and the bank uses their own conversion rate (at that point) to charge you. I think that makes sense

Edit: as the above post said international retailers will probably use their own exchange rates and charge you in your local currency, at the price you originally agreed to.

i wouldn`t feel alright about keeping it but if i had to pay to return it... :\ was afraid they might track these replacements.

Does anyone know the cheapest place for the 360 version of Skate 2 in the UK? I am extremely poor after the Christmas carnage but the demo completely took me by surprise and done me like a kipper so I think I need the full game.

thats the reason i order at www.base.com.
they ship from mainland uk, so there are no custom fees or so.
the prices are also very good, i just ordered bioshock 360 for ~13€.

Searching just "DVI-D" on your local version of Amazon should bring up some good deals.

Hey everybody!

Does anyone know what is the best deal for Guitar Hero: World Tour for Wii in Sweden, specifically in Stockholm?
Any local stores or online websites in Sweden, UK or maybe even somewhere else in Europe that deliver to Sweden would do.

Thanks in advance guys!

Sadly those deals don't happen to ship to Italy (there's no Italian Amazon, just the UK one), and the ones who do have high shipment costs (£9.00 shipping? No thanks...). Too bad there isn't an European equivalent to Monoprice (at least not one that I know of) :(
Thanks anyway.

Persona 4 Preorder £16.99

good budget price! I'd pay £30 if they bothered to sort out a 60hz mode for us. Really really annoyed me in P3.

Great price. The only I don't get are Amazon.co.uk's shipping costs for video games. It costs 1.88 to ship a DVD to western europe, yet shipping a videogame (which comes in the same DVD case) costs 4.98.

Mate of mine is gonna pick up a 360 in a couple of weeks, but needs a wireless solution to connecting to LIVE.

Anyone know of any good deals/methods? We're in the UK BTW.

Cheers in advance.

Came here to post this :D

Go-Go-Go!

Look at past pages, you'll notice that I've called it: Square Enix games, especially DS' ones, ALWAYS sell *at most* for £16.99 even on launch day, always. Wait one week and you'll find every Dragon Quest/Final Fantasy/New IP even lower: most online retailer will slash the prices @£14 after 1 week.

Never pay more than that, it's been this way since Dragon Quest VIII/Final Fantasy III DS released.

Is it going to be next to a computer? If so it can be done for free by using Windows ICS.
