nope , not at all , it's a reference to a french reality tv show , kinda like survivor .
I know, Koh Lanta, but wasn't Moundir the one who wanted to eat some kind of living animal (a goat, IIRC), then he litteraly freaked out and threatened everyone ?

guys my bro needs a new monitor screen for his 360 as current one has broke. He wants to spend £150 - £200 max. Any good monitors in that price range?

By the by, check your spam folder, the guys at Impulse are sending out surveys again. You get a 20% off discount code if you answer all 20 questions.

Or you can "cheat" and just ask someone that did. *cough* SURVEY-2009 *cough*

hey guys , our fellow american friends have monoprice.com when they want to purchase cheap HDMI cables , is there a euro site that would have cheap 5 meters cables ?

I'm tired of not being able to use my 360 when the GF is watching TV , and I still have my pc monitor (which I first used as a screen for the 360/PS3) in the living room .

Last time I checked out amazon.co.uk they had some real cheap cables in the sales, like £1 but no idea how long it was, worth a look.

which online retailers are best for delivering preorders quickly? HMV and Play.com both have the pspgo up for £199, but play.com don't have options for special delivery, and say 3-5 working days.

I've found HMV and Game very good with pre-orders in the past. Game even beating official releases by a few days (with Soul Calibur IV).

Also anyone know the best deal for the new Layton; best I can find is £30 or £33-35 in bricks and mortar stores.

Expecting a discount on a Layton game in Europe is crazy madness; Curious Village is only just down to £20 after a year on release.

Cheapest I can find Pandora's Box is £25 on Shopto, although if you're boycotting them there's £27 or so on Amazon which is a bit cheaper?

The Curious Village was £17.99 at Amazon and Play for pretty much all of June, July and August.

As for Pandora's Box. I think Morrisons have it for £22.99, Toys R' Us for £23.99 and ASDA for £24.99 (unless these were time-limited promotions). In-store only so non-UK residents are out of luck.

Anyone know the current best PS3 slim bundle in the UK, preferably from a store?

I've also seen it at Toys R Us for £229.

I'm intrigued by Valkyria Chronicles, where's it cheapest?

My local Blockbuster has a couple of copies in it's 2 for £30 preowned section, so it may be worth checking your local 2nd hand venues also.

ShopTo always get it to you before release date. However, there is the CC shenanigans to bear in mind.

from a PSN thread - £15.90 for a £20 PSN card

Well some places are selling the cards cheaper online (£20 PSN Card for £15.90 in real money) so you've just saved about 20%, which is great if you're a CAG.

(I actually have a spreadsheet detailing how much I have/will save when I purchase games via discounted Nintendo Points and PSN Cards. Somehow I've bought 20,000 Wii Points worth RRP £199.92 at a price of £87.68 :/ .)

Hey CT, play.com has finally shipped my Ace Combat 6 order... only (more than) 6 months later, yay! :D

I believed they'd never get it back in stock, imagine my surprise when I received an e-mail "your order has been dispatched" from Play without even knowing what game was that about :lol

Now I'm sad I don't have a flight stick to play it... how's that cheap Ubisoft HAWX one? I dismissed buying one after the HAWX demo turned out IMO shitty (I actually liked the "win" button sequences and the rest of the demo, too bad for the awful framerate)

10 months here, but yeah... better late than never, I guess. I had resigned myself to never playing this game...

Anyone know the cheapest place in the UK to get a 360 pad wireless gaming receiver for Windows? I swear it's sold out everywhere, and they want £40 on Amazon Marketplace! WTF?!

Yeah, I think MS discontinued that. They now have a wireless controller which comes with a receiver.

Which sucks because I already have 3 wireless 360 controllers and no way to use them on PC. :\

Lol...I have 5 wireless controllers already (don't ask). Do I really have to buy a 6th? How long is the cable on the wired pad?

i thought MS was already selling a bundle of a wireless controller + wireless adapter

ShopTo (I know) are selling off the old Wii bundles cheap. £135 for the standard Wii Sports pack, £190 with Wii Sports + Wii Fit.

HEAD in Bristol (used to be Zavvi), are selling all games for £9.99 or less. They don't have very many recent releases, but they have things like Guitar Hero world tour, LittleBigPlanet etc.

Where is the cheapest place to pre-order Uncharted 2?

Shopto had the cheapest deal, and I had it pre-ordered there but some unforseen circumstances like my PS3 dying made me cancel the order, got a replacement today checked the site again and it's back up to £38. :(

Well that was silly wasn't it?

I think the supermarkets might start price wars starting this Friday with Fifa 10. ASDA is doing it for £24.99.
