Good day,

Our catalog, we will immediately update.

The current status of your order, you can always get through 'My Account' on our website (http://www.amazon.de).

(This is an automatically sent e-mail. Please do not reply to this letter, as is the e-mail address only to send but not set up to receive e-mails.)

PS: Fuck people who ordered 5.

PPS: Don't mention the war
Nice google translate :lol
And +1 for the Fawlty Towers mention.

Told myself I wouldn't buy some of those games locking out different languages to prevent imports (Uncharted 2, NFS Shift) but at those prices, goodbye spanish, hello english.

Maybe they will get the message that I'm not going to pay 69,95€ for each game just because they locked spanish in the uk import at 23,49€.

I'm quite sad about the DJ Hero thing. I was looking forward to that. Oh well; with any luck it'll hit the £40-£50 mark here around Christmas and I can still bite.

My DJ Hero order was shipped yesterday for the low price of 30,97 €. But I have heard from people who ordered even before me that their order was canceled. Seems like Amazon likes more :D

Yep mine has, too.

17.99 is the new rep

It was the same last year though. Loads of titles dropped back then around this time too.

I think this years big drops are better though, as the games are more interesting. Far Cry 2, Prince of Persia were the only really big ones last year.

Does that mean it can be played from Steam as well (ie. no retail disc required) ?

TheHut: Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising (PS3) - £17.73 (360 too)

I wasn't expecting this kind of deal for this game until next year, but I'm still not sure it's worth it. Also, I've never ordered from TheHut before, so are they reliable (outside UK)?

Back to £38 :'(
Pity :( I was just about to buy 3 copies, one to my sister and one to my friend as christmas presents, and one for myself and keep it sealed for collection purposes (i already own the collector's edition, which is the copy that i use to play Uncharted 2 with :)).

Anybody that doesn't buy Uncharted 2 at that price should be shot.

Anyone ever shoped from http://www.bangcd.com/index.aspx

I ordered MW2 from them 9 days ago and still nothing :/
Not me, hope you get your game soon though. I personally only shop in a few stores like zavvi, shopto, tesco, play, amazon and maybe thehut if I see something worth signing up for.

Speaking of Tesco Entertainment, Crysis Maximum Edition - £11.97 (no stock for 4-5 days but worth the wait, next lowest price is £15 elsewhere.

Also for those who like to wait for stock: (Tesco DIRECT) 64mb 360 memory card - £4, imo this is good if you take your profile around with you a lot.

Zavvi: 2100 Microsoft Points - £13.95

They are going for £14.95 on the site, but text "ZAVVI" to 82100 to get a £1 voucher to knock the price down. The text might cost you 10p, so factor that in too.

Just had an email from Tesco:
Dear Mr Whatevermort,

Thank you for your recent order with Tesco Entertainment for 'Left 4 Dead 2' for Xbox 360.

Unfortunately, there was an error in the price at the time that you placed your order, and as a result we have had to cancel this item in your order. You have not been charged for this game and the remainder of your order will be dispatched as normal.

We apologise for the inconvenience and would like to offer you £2 off your next order with Tesco Entertainment. Please enter eCoupon code WOOHOOMAGICTIMEFUNPARTY at the online Entertainment checkout to claim your discount. This offer is valid until 31st December 2009.

Please refer to our terms and conditions on the Tesco Entertainment site for further details of our order acceptance policy.

If you would like to re-order the game, it will be available again this week on our website at the correct price of £36.71.

Kind regards,

Tesco Customer Service

sorry for my ignorance, but i have to ask this question.

when is the best time to buy game cheaper than usual now that holiday season had started? is it boxing day?

i am a cheap student from UK so would love to buy PSP and DS games cheaper than they are now. I buy online but if there is good deal in shop, i will bite.

the thing is, i remember searching through amazon last year and couldn't find cheap games that i wanted hence me asking this question.

cheers.

Games get cheap randomly nowadays, although it seems most online outlets want to get orders in before Xmas, so keep an eye out right now if you are looking for something.

Deals can have very short lifespans as well, with some sites only listing stuff cheaply for a few hours (like Tekken 6 and Uncharted 2 recently), so check often. Also, don't limit yourself to one store like Amazon. Make sure you shop about.

Also, use a site like Gamestracker to find the current cheapest price, although be aware they update randomly, and as a result, can miss out on some deals.

The Austrian branch of catalogue company Quelle has gone into bankruptcy, so there's a great sale right now:

Playstation 3 for 209,99€ (90€ cheaper than normal)
DS for 125€ (-30%)

Please note that they only ship to Austria and the items are very hard to get right now (www.quelle.at )

what about boxing day or any day post Xmas? do games actually became cheaper?

for me its mostly Handheld games. I don't own (at the moment at least) any console (Wii, 360, Ps3) so trying to find those games cheaper than usual is harder than their console brethren since those games are usually known for stuffing the channel.

but yeah, i'll try to shop around, and not from amazon.

thank you, mate.

Play: You're In The Movies (includes Xbox Live Vision Camera) - £9.99

Worth it for the camera alone IMO

I said it last time and i'll say it again - waiting for under £5 because it will get there. :lol

Not being able to create my own thread, I was wondering if people who could think it would be a good idea to create a buy/trade/sell thread(like the US version) for Europeans. Sorry for posting this request in this thread, but considering the type of people who view this website I thought it was appropriate.
