Are we going loosely non gaming for a few days? I don't really know if the January sales are going to be any good this year.

If so, it would be nice to see deals for good HD televisions posted.

Got a PSP for Christmas, anyone know or heard anything about good game or memory deals?

I know some of the sales have started already, just wondered if there was anything of note.

Im looking for a copy of Left4Dead 2. The cheapest i can find is £24.99, does anyone know of anywhere selling it for less?

went HMV in oxford street after work. Noticed Rock Band Beatles with drums for £40 on 360 and £50 on PS3.

No Joke!!

According to the HMV posters etc in my local (Cardiff) it's the Rock Band Value Pack (Game/ RB1 Drums/RB1 Guitar) and it's £60 on both formats. Guitar Hero Metallica on everything is £30 with guitar as well, which is pretty good, as I've never seen the game alone for less than that.

Picked up Tomb Raider Underworld for a fiver from Gamestation today, which I hope is a bargain of some sort.

And now a request: anybody know a great price for Pure on the 360?

ARRRRGGGHHHHHH!

Ordered a new copy of Pikmin for the wii from Game, guess what it's not brand new was a preowned copy from gamstation. Scratched to hell second time this has happened when using game online.

Edit: Oh well at least they have already agreed to send a new copy out when this one is coming back I guess.

Yeah GAME, Gamestation (and Gameplay?*) sometimes send out store soiled copies as "new" (particularly for older games). Still the soiled copies I've had have been slightly tatty boxes and one or two scratches.

As for why it happens. My only guess is stores have to open sealed copies for display purposes (due to not being sent enough dummy boxes**) and then eventually get orders to recall them back to head office/warehouse where they probably sit about for a while then get put online (or re-distributed to other stores). This recall process is probably the reason why there are so few pre-owned copies online.

*-Don't use them so I can't check but given all 3 sites have the same address...
**-Smaller releases the publishers tend to give no dummy boxes. Also smaller stores are less likely to receive dummy boxes due to lack of space.

Well last year it was same with a lego game scratched to high heaven as well. Or at least clean the disks.

I'm asking for help here. I've just bought GT Prologue on PSN, I have NFS Shift and I'm waiting patiently for GT5 and I want to buy a racing wheel.
Logitech G27's just came out and G25 should be cheaper. Does someone know where I can find the cheapest quality racing wheels ?

Thanks (the price is 349€ for the G27 near my house... and it hurts)

Oh my.

I just bought a new game from Game.co.uk but they shipped a used game with a price sticker from Gamestation stores. It has an unused xbox live 48hr pass but the instruction booklet is clearly used. Should I send it back? Maybe its not a big issue, the disc surface looks perfect no scratches or fingerprints.

....

Some nice prices at The Hut:
Super Mario Strikers (Wii)- £15.73
Virtua Fighter 5 (Xbox 360)- £9,73
Star Ocean (Xbox 360)- £11.73

And this is why I tend to avoid Game/Gameplay/Gamestation now a days, they sold me an used FE:RD, I complained, I sent it back, they sent me another one but it was used as well (except now it had a "30 days guarantee sticker" on the side of the box :lol ).
After that I only used them once (Gameplay) to get MadWorld (cheap fewe weeks after relase) and Disaster, behold Disaster was clearly used again.

Last time I used either of those stores.

Why can't I find any online offers for the Collector's Edition of Mass Effect 2? Is it exclusive to one particular webstore here in Europe?
