Cheap Ass GAF'er (Euro Gaming Edition)

I feel sad when those things happen. I'm always rooting for the underdog and in this case Dark Void because it had gotten an bad rep for no good reason. Unfortunately the demo was below average so it only made it worse... :-/

I wonder how long it will be before we hear Airtight Games is no more. The company was founded in 2004 yet they've released only one game so far and it bombed *terribly*. Most developers don't get a second chance in this economical climate.

Would've bombed without a demo. Most people called it before the demo hit.
They've only made it worse. People may have suspected the game wasn't all that, but the demo was confirmation. I will never buy Dark Void, no matter the price. Compare this to Bionic Commando, where I never played the (multiplayer only) demo, had low expectations, but still ended up buying it cheap at some point. Of course I hated it, gave up quite early in the campaign and sold it to the next sucker. None of that is ever going to happen for Dark Void, which, if you're Capcom, has to be worse.

Anyone?

Links to specific Ebay sellers is fine.

Alot of online retailers that sell instant codes seem to be out of stock of 12 month subs at the moment.

????

Although that doesn't really help you at the moment! :lol

Some cheap MS allards would be nice too if anyone knows where.

These are the cheapest I've found:

http://www.asda-entertainment.co.uk.../xbox-360-live-2100-points-card/10021725.html

If you want to really stock up and you've never signed up for Littlewoods/very.co.uk before then add two lots of these to your basket:

http://www.very.co.uk/rf/vry/p.do?D...494&Nty=1&Ntx=mode matchallpartial&SNu=pca_id

then the codes ZZ419 and XV044 to get 8400 (!!) points for £40.

Alternatively you can add one bunch of points and something else with a value of £25 or more (I got AVP for PC which is £25, so it was £30 delivered for the points and game) if you don't need quite as many points as that! :lol

You won't find anything cheaper than that for a good while though so its a decent way to stock up. 800 points games work out at less than £4 if you take up that deal, not bad.

Ordered the £18 Bayonetta from Zavvi yesterday (thanks for the heads up Euro-GAF).

My question is do they usually deduct money immediately on order? As I received an e-mail confirming dispatch this morning yet as of 6pm no money has been taken from my account (I ask because the page load fubar-d when I was processing my order).

Your card should be charged when it is sent out, however when I ordered my copy of Tekken 6 it was a day or so after dispatch when they took the money out of my account.

Not really imo, Capcom isn't affected all that much when you pick a bomba up at a bargain price. Of course lots of bombas doesn't really help raise the faith retail puts into your products but it wouldn't help DV if a couple of people pick it up at bomba prices like you did with BC.

You'll be lucky to find HMV having anything actually in stock for delivery! All my previous orders from them have been cancelled due to stock issues - never had a preorder with them though.

Fuck. It's the Heavy Rain SE I want, but I want it definitely on release day. Could just order the regular one from GAME I suppose.

For anyone in the UK who has preordered from hmv.co.uk, how good are they at getting your game to you on or before release day?

I always pre-order CD's from there and they either come on Saturday or Monday... so yes. On time, they do despatch early.
With games I couldn't say. I have pre-ordered a few from there when they used to do their 10% off student card but like said they do seem to cancel a few due to stock issues! Then they'll mysteriously have the product in stock the next day.

Zavvi mega money is here again, few worth while goodies.

Bayonetta all formats £17.99
Halo 3 ODST £17.99
RE: Darkside Chronicles £17.95
Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days £12.95
Supercar Challenge £15.95

And a tetris brick tee shirt for £2

Muramasa £14.99 over at Amazon.co.uk.

Ugh...mental note to self: don't buy games at the first "wow this is good price", wait and buy at the inevitable* second, cheaper price...
*-in 79.68% of cases.

Tempting, but then again the Amazon shipping fees tend to increase the price a lot.

Hearing you there buddy. No more day 1 full price purchases bar the odd good deal or game that will hold its value e.g. NSMBW for years. <cries at sub £8 Rhythm Paradise after paying over £21 when it came out; Nintendo games never price drop = bullshit>

I'm gonna wait for Muramasa to hit sub £10 and I've even cancelled my AA Miles Edgeworth preorder cos I still have so many games (still in shrink wrap) to go through. Sorry Rising Star and Capcom, I just don't have the money or time to play your games.

Which of these sites is best for shipping to the Netherlands? They seem to be pretty cool when it comes to taxes but just want to make sure, these sites mark the stuff as gifts? Interested in Dark Void

You don't pay taxes when you're buying goods within the EU territory. Zavvi/TheHut and Play.com are UK companies but they're not in the EU since they're located in Jersey so you could taxed when you're buying games whose value exceeds 20 euro.

i think that £14.99 stint was Muramasa bowing out... gonna become hard to pick up in the future.

Now unavailable in both HMV and Amazon
TheHut couldn't locate any stock either. Cancelled my order.

Guess I might have to check up on eBay or so.

Goodbye Muramasa, you tried your best
