There's just too many good games out there for the market to sustain. People don't have the money or time to play everything.
Definitely true. Too many games mean people have to choose, and you end up with incredible successes or terrible bombs with a middle ground that's collapsing more and more as time goes by.
What this means in the long-term: overly hyped (and heavily advertised) blockbusters will keep faring well, everything else will probably go worse and worse until offer and demand meet again (less games get produced at all).

£40 PSN Credit - £29.90 @ Zavvi (add two of the £20 cards, use code MAXIFEST (£2 off £20))

...Axel Music seems to work for me. Was able to add products to baskets, and head to the checkout without problems. Have not went all the way to buy something though.

You think this would be clear to the game makers and the retailers i've only brought two full price games over the last few weeks Alan Wake and RDR everything else has been discounted. so usually lower than £20.

Their are good and ok games coming out but...being in the uk i know that they'll price drop very, very quickly.

A friend's 360 has just RRODed on him, just a few months after it crept out of the 3-year-warranty window. Wonderful timing.

Given that, he's now on the lookout for a new system; are there any exciting deals around? Most likely for Arcades, given he's able to salvage the HD from the older system, but he'd also be on the lookout for picking up a larger-HD model.

Pretty sure MS will still repair that for free, it may take a little complaining and such on his part but it might even be as simple as it would be before the warranty window.

I'd like Galaxy 2 before it comes out, not ordered with Zavvi or Tesco before.. should I just pay an extra couple of quid from somewhere more reliable? Don't wanna get screwed on that one really. Any suggestions? Also haven't updated my Wii firmware in 2 years, anything I need to be aware of? Aside from it breaking my Smash Bros. freeloader.

Scratch that might go to Asda at midnight and buy it there.

Damn, just ordered a £20 card the other day, would have taken up this deal if I'd have known. Zavvi provide Quidco as well so that's an extra ~£1 you can get back as well.

Even better deal for PSN cards. Add 3 to your basket and change the currency to Euros and then use the code "SAVE5." Now switch back to sterling and you'll get 3 cards for £42.84, factor in a couple of £ from Quidco and you're practically getting the 3rd card for free! :D

Really wish that my other card hadn't shipped yet. Not sure I need £80 worth of PSN credit! :lol

Are there any deals going on Galaxy for pre-order, or is it all nintendo-standard high pricing
Yes I´m afraid so Nintendo games are rarely on sale or have price drops, hell even mariokart ds is still 50 euro´s here.......

Some people will say this deal sucks, but others may like it...

PSP GO (White or Black) + £20 PSN Voucher (+ the 10 "free games") - £174.85

at the banned site.

I so wanna get rid of my PSP Go, the support for it has been hideous. Won't be buying a Sony handheld again.

Great deal though, a big FU to the original adopters though.

i will keep my GO at least until they announce the PSP2. I really hope it has BC. i spent already enough money on the PSN. but you're right. he GO support is ridiculous.

God when is the next shipment of Resonance of Fate coming in?! I waited and failed to get a copy for £20 before everywhere sold out. Probs will buy from Play for £25 at this rate. Star Ocean came back into stock after a month or so, but RoF seemingly isn't. Sad panda. ;_;

Do these PSN cards work in Euro PSN stores or just the UK one?

I'm pretty sure it's just on the UK one.
I know that European PSN cards don't work on the UK store so the other way around will probably be the same.

Just UK but that shouldn't be a problem: buy the games with a UK account, play them on your regular account.

got some more stuff from Zavvi today, thanks God for this thread. My wallet on the other hand :lol

No kidding. I thought I'd save an euro or two thanks to this thread but I've ended up spending twice as much.

I picked a brand new one up for £140 from a respected seller on Ebay the other day so its worth checking there first but that's a pretty good deal (especially if you want the white version).

The machine is fantastic btw, its the first major portable that fills its remit of being a trully portable device, easily fits in your pocket and allows you to stuff mountains of content on its internal storage. I fully agree £225 for the machine alone was a ridiculous price but now it can be had for ~£150 with 10 free games (and quality, high profile ones at that) its well worth considering.

I doubt a PSP2 is going to make me give up my Go, the form factor is just too good. I'd be hard pressed to buy a handheld with a bigger form factor now, I just wouldn't take it with me nearly as much, which kinda defeats the point of a portable in the first place.

So, Wii deals that ship to Ireland?
Or is it better to get it instore?

It's €230 for the Black Wii Sports Resort Bundle with a copy of Mario Galaxy 2 off Amazon.co.uk.

Thanks guys. I just ordered them from zavvi. Now to make a UK account and wait for the cards to arrive.

no good deals for a psp go guys ..?

Like I said, check Ebay. There should be some Powersellers listing new units around ~£150, I'd link to the guy I bought mine from but he's increased the price to £200 now. That Shopto deal is the best you're going to get from a proper etailer.

The game is bombing hard. I expect it to be 17.99 by next month.

Agreed (Blur).
What about Split/Second then? I'm not in the UK at the moment, so I can't "gauge" that by myself...

My Lost Planet 2 arrived from HMV (ordered when they reduced it to £18) and it had a 800 MS points card with it. Was it included in all LP2's? Was pretty surprised to see it.

They had plastered a sticker to the cardboard sleeve though. (right in the center and it's pretty damn hard to get off)

My memory stick from mymemory arrived today. Just in time for my 2-day trip :D 16 hours+ hours of giant bombcast here I come! :lol

I wouldn't say the link is busted but most likely either they sold through the £17.99 stock or it was a mis-price.

Yep I'am pretty sure thats right, cos I posted GTA:EFLC (PS3) for ~£14 @ Zavvi last week, when they sold out the price went up to the original selling price.

But it takes me to thehut's page? Well, not interested in the game anyway.

Just a few weeks and my Zavvi preorder of Demon's Souls' Black Phantom Edition preorder should ship, soo giddy. If anyone else has it preordered, what was the cheapest you got it for? Paying 45€ for mine.

HMV have been giving away 800 MS points on a lot of games recently, Blur/PoP at the mo.

The deal sold out about an hour after I posted, Sorry. It was a Hut deal.

Some people say it was a misprice, but those that ordered on HotUKDeals say it is getting dispatched.
