And, to be honest, this is pretty much the only price I ever would have bought Brawl at (well, maybe £5). Always found them enjoyable party games, but not much beyond that. But for £4, a party game is a steal.
 
Anybody gotten their Black Cops delivered today? People who pre-ordered from Tesco have not gotten theirs today. I'm confused, what was the point of pre-ordering to begin with? :/

Tuesday releases are a pain in the arse in the UK, as they often wont ship till Monday, Yet on Friday releases they will often ship on Wednesday giving it 2 days to arrive, hence why allot of people often get it early.

I got Halo a day early but no Black Ops.

Fuck Tesco, despatching on a sunday. Looks like I'm off into ASDA and sending the Tesco one back.

Nope, my PC pre-order says within 3 to 5 days, while the 360 order i made Monday morning says next working day delivery from the 8th, still not shown up. *Grumble* at least they cant be as bad as Zavvi .....

yeah. i got mine from blackcops.com. i'm outraged, however, as they've clearly been used already. the latin cops i got last week were in much better condition.

I can't believe the hardened edition (the steelbook case with the dlc maps) is 65 fucking pounds in the UK. People actually pay that much?

Definitely not worth it, it's even more expensive in mainland europe. It's anywhere between €79-89. With MW2 you get a full PSN/XBL game and a artbook, with BLOPS only a useless medal and some dlc.
 
Curse you gamestop.ie! There was a poster in the Belfast city centre branch today listing a bunch of games which can be traded in to get Black Ops for £9.99.

The only Wii one was Super Mario Galaxy 2, which will be coming with me to work tomorrow.
 
Succumbed and went and got my copy from Asda, traded in Fable 3. Handed over a twenty, only needed 15 in change, got 25. Result?

Going to the doctors in a couple of hours, don't know whether to take the cash back and explain... didn't notice till I got back home.

My till was always out and I never got busted. The person won't get fired for a little mistake like that in such a big company. Hell I used to do shit like that on purpose on days where I felt shit. It's only when 20s and 50s go missing that they start asking questions.

According to some guy on the AVforums, Tesco are still delivering Black Cops via courier until 8pm. He was told this by a customer service rep.

Oh... fanny hair! This only applies to the 360 and PS3 versions. There are 9 other non-Wii games with gruff-looking men on the front which you can trade in for it.

Usually, Nintendo games don't get very good deals, especially big titles like DKC. See Metroid Other M, for example.

I thought Super Smash Bros. Brawl was one of the few game to have problems with that.... or maybe that is just a USB loader problem on the Wii itself.

I think that was a case of older revisions of IOS249 having an issue with dual-layered discs. If you have an up to date version then it should work fine.

Edit: Oh, Suairyu's on about Dolphin. I've no idea how well it works with that. Can't wait to get a new PC so I can try it myself though.

Hells no. Brawl was one of the first games to be running 100% with the program. The game is absolutely wasted at SD resolutions - that artwork is gorgeous and stages filled with tons of details you actually can't see at sub-HD.

Thanks for the heads up! Will probably use my 5off35 on AC:B when it comes out. :) Too bad it doesn't work on preorders.

edit: Just tested and the code doesn't work with CODBLOPS either. What gives?

I won a £3 off £30 discount, not bad but I doubt I will use it any time soon, just spent enough money on codblops.

Yeah, same here. I'll contact my CC company about reimbursement next week if they don't reply.

I've never had these problems with other stores... even the infamous ShopTo is much better. (I actually like them since their delivery is signed and fast)

What do you think the chances are to get the money back from the bank? If I don't get a reply by tomorrow, I'll contact my bank as well to get the money back if it's possible.
 
Yeah Zavvi seems to be slow and losing orders. Awhile a back I had to cancel my order after a month of waiting. Also the packages I did receive, were late and damaged (TheHut, but it's the same company). So from now on I'll try to avoid TheHut and Zavvi.

Not sure about banks. CC companies can reimburse easier in my knowledge. You should still ask them about it.

Also you could check your countries consumer center or the like and see what you can do.

So I ordered the LE of BlazBlue Continuum Shift at zavvi when it was 18 pounds or something, and my address as well as my CC details changed since then... I wrote them about this a few days ago (since I can't change them in my order details by myself), and still haven't heard anything. How are my chances to still get it at this price..? :/
