3 minutes later and I'm still stuck in the queue for the TV - I guess Amazon's servers can't handle the post work crowd
No it just likes to do that for some reason any time of the day. You using Firefox 3.6 by any chnace?

This may be a stupid question; given different browsers render scripts at different speeds would there be a benefit to using Chrome (for example) instead of IE or Firefox?

Chrome atm - was using IE8 at work and that was fine

We did not know the price til it went live, we thought Amazon would undercut the recent Zavii/Gameplay deal (Also £19.95). We then removed once they did not...
:lol Amazon, that would've been a real deal if they could have it for £9.99. Still wouldn't have been able to buy it though.

How much was the tv? what make too.
Toshiba 37inch with Freeview HD for £249.99. Pretty decent deal for Freeview HD, don't know about the TV quality itself.

A Toshiba 37 inch with bulit in freeview for £279 I think. model number 37RV753. possibly.

Basically the same model can be had for cheaper at Comet using a 20% off code and 3.5% cashback

Ah that would explain why it hits zero then took about a second for add basket to appear but doesn't explain why its entirely invisible in Opera (I'm sure I've got javascript enabled). Gah, I don't have time to get home and install Chrome and at home I only have Opera installed...so looks like I'll have to luck it out with IE :lol

But, remember there are other factors like how quick you click add and how long this message takes to hit Amazon (its first come, first served from when they get the message).

And why was everyone clambering over Vanquish? It's £18 as we speak from Play, I bought it this afternoon without any fuss.
Look at the thread title. We were hoping for £15 (weird we would happy at what would be £3 off for that but were raging at the LED candles which had the same)

I tried refreshing at 6 out of interest and then seconds later they were all gone :lol I take it refreshing isnt the right way to do it

I just bought that same box of Guilyan chocolates at ASDA today, they are £5 there down from £10, I imagine Amazon will sell for about £3.50

Typically the only thing I am interested in today is the Baby Monitor at 9 but I am out playing football. Knowing my luck it will sell for like a fiver. If anyone adds one just for the hell of it let me know :)

I'm on Firefox 3.6.12 and it's working fine for me - I managed to snag the Goldeneye CE for £30 earlier on. It's not the greatest deal but I realised that if I'm willing to pay the £20 for the game that Currys is asking for, the extra £10 for the CE controller is pretty decent.

Nah £5 as they tweeted 75% off. Thats usually what I got the 24 boxes for for. Frankly its a gift I don't want to pay more than that for. Sadly no ASDA near me so I can't get that deal.

There will be no reason to post Nigella photos in a few more minutes... So:

I got nothing this time...I guess the Nigella Books could have been a crimbo present, but no loss.

I think my connection is getting too slow for this again - damn evening crowd slowing things down!!

£5 chocolates :((((( same price in supermarkets more or less.

What did the brush go for?
£50. Again they set RRP to £200 and tweeted 75% off. Anyway "Waiting in the Queue" on the chocolates (they were also up for 2 hours :lol and I'll wait dammit!) so I guess my luck is out. Thats what I get for using Internet Explorer I guess but it was the best I could do.

Time for me to resume being a "domestic goddess" and finish the cooking I was doing :lol

This is insane, if they had half of these things at the same price in the normal sales they wouldn't sell, people getting carried away in the hype.

INCLUDING ME - BUY BUY BUY!!!!

Nah, people are getting caught in the hype, for sure, but they ain't buying.

They're adding to basket, looking at the price and saying 'fuck it'. :lol

Happened me twice on two different product, never changed from the queue for the whole two hours I left it. Must be a bug. The item is long gone.

However, if people remove it from their basket, then it could go into circulation and you could get it when still in the queue. Unlikely, but it could happen. No idea if Amazon's system is smart enough to do that though.

I'm afraid not. They remove it from the deals dash thingy so I suppose once it's out, its out. Stupid ass system if you ask me.

Guys if it is a Wii could someone try and claim one anyway, I'm desperate to get one for a good price, and I'll be trying, but I wanna increase my chances. If it is Peppa Pig I'll be pissed though.
