Check Mii Out Channel Launches on November 11th, 2007

FYI, it's always a good idea to download the free stuff if only to get it to 'register' to your Wii/My Nintendo. You can always delete it afterwards. While it's true that so far, only the Internet Browser went from free to pay (as it was only given out as a promotional reward for early adopters), once it's yours, you're even good on updates and new versions!

i have it known, I don't think I'm "popular", nor do I care if I was perceived as popular or not, but the main thing is I had absolutely nothing to do with this.

Also how is Nintendo going to police this channel. What's to stop people from making penis headed Mii's with obscene names. Would you get banned from the channel?

i don't mean anything like "amirox is popular and he's evil" or nothing like that. It just seem that posters tend to follow mindlessly behind certain posters here. Bishoptl,anihawk,you, and others is part of that crowd. i don't want to come off as the goth chick that have that "me against the world vibe" or that guy that complains at customer service. In point, this thread is a prime example of a popular poster being copied, but for some reason it didn't stopped when it suppose to stop after it died horribly between the 7th post. :lol

And yeah, I guess you'd get banned, or at least the Miis would be deleted. I think they did something like this with Animal Crossing DS

Or people were just having fun to see how long they could keep it going? I would think it had more to do with the first person who mimicked the original post. I dunno dude, I think you're reading into it WAY too much.

Good idea. People can at least try it out first anyway. Wouldn't it be great if they gave out Wii Points for winning the contests? :D

Personally, I wouldn't spend that much time on the Mii Channel customising but, casual gamers might. I think those who bought the Wii because of its fun looking motion technology but don't usually play games, won't have that many games. Probably just Wii Sports and Brain Academy TBH. And maybe the new Endless Ocean too.
 
Well, it's a natural extension to the Mii Channel. Actually, I'm a bit surprised that they didn't simply pull the Mii Channel, overhaul it, and rerelease it with these new features. I think that would have been the simpler (to th end-user) solution.

No matter. I just realized this new channel hits the same day I'll be picking up the new Mario! Woo!
 
It's 6pm Nov 11th. Still no sign :'(

The Wii shop channel seemed to be down a little while ago, I thought it was updating for the channel released but nope. Still not up.

I feel like the Everybody Votes channel showed up around 2:30am Pacific Time. So it still could come in the next few hours.

I can't wait to try this, my only problem is although I'm a painter with some okay art school training, I can't seem to ever get a Mii to look like me :(

maybe I should give it one more try this week.
 
I seem to remember one channel went up in Europe and Japan first, so there's hope!

But it's Sunday, rememberance Sunday to be exact, so no chance anyone will be at NoE's offices.

Maybe the problem is your face. We have Miis of everyone in my family and my friends, except one... We tried so hard to make it look like him, we finally gave up, there was no way to do it... On the other hand my gf mii is just exactly like her.

It's also Veteran's Day in America. But no one celebrates that so there will probably be people in the office :/
 
Of course, chances are it's automated, as the VC games go up midnight EU. But, a new channel is a bigger thing, and thus might need someone... ah well.

yeah maybe I have this face that does not seem to match well with mii's design set up

when it works and it looks like the person its awesome. so I'm just jealous I can't have one that looks just like me

edit: oh wow, they put Super Mario Bros. 3 on the VC in honour of Galaxy's launch next week!? I totally didn't notice that, awesome. >_<
