Sp0rsk says, post this in the spoiler thread you git.
Yup, sure does. I think it does it so that it can laugh in your face at your lack of progress.mr_sockochris said:All I want to know is if the game records the time you've spent playing it?
Case in point.Maridia said:Wow, 23 hours and four dungeons.
i think it's confirmed now that it's longer than okami and maybe the pace is faster tooMejilan said:Wow, so this game actually stands a chance at being larger/longer than even Okami?

Can't answer that quite yet. Sorry!MadraptorMan said:Othersteve, what do you think of the game, generally speaking? Is it the best Zelda ever?

I am really enjoying the game so far, though. I've been playing it non-stop, and I'm really not sick of it at all.

Mejilan said:Great write-up! I'm psyched! I avoided all of the spoilers, but I'm happy to hear that OoT-like "mini-dungeons" are back, and that the game constantly ties into prior games and legends!

The game’s soundtrack is also pretty amazing—easily the best in the Zelda series, in fact. There is a wonderful blend of new and existing tunes (most existing ones have been remade into longer and more epic compositions, some adapted to sound quite different from their originals). Here’s a partial list of some returning songs to whet your appetite:

Chairman Yang said:How much padding is in the game? By padding, I mean things like unskippable cutscenes, aimless wandering, uneventful long travel times, boring fetch quests and the like. I found OoT, despite its qualities, to have a little too much of this sort of padding.

Check it out now!
Enjoy!
If anyone's got any questions, I'd be glad to answer them as well... mostly spoiler-free, of course, that is.

who are the 'others'?Snah said:I've heard mixed reviews about the Wii control. Some, like Matt from IGN, claim that they can't go back to playing zelda games any otherway.
While others mention that the Wii controller has been not been such a smooth experience. It's not very responsive and it can become a chore.
Did the Wii controller AID or HINDER your enjoyment of the game? Answer honestly.

Huge, especially considering that the dungeons tend to get more difficult and time-intensive as the game goes on.

Haven't seen enough yet to comment on how much of this stuff there is... but it is there. It truly feels like a classic Zelda game.v4gr4nt said:All i want to know if the game is filled with little details, like the gossip stones, funny things, the mask trading..that kind of stuffs classics from Nintendo.
Well, sadly, I wasn't provided with component cables... yet. So I'm still on composite with upscaling via my LCD television from 480i. :\Xdrive05 said:Hey, OS, thanks for your impressions and for answering our questions.![]()
Okay, first! What kind of TV/cables setup are you using and what do you have to say about the image quality? I ask because I recently played Wind Waker on an LCD tv and that game has really bad dithering in 480p. (there are a lot of places where the colors get kinda pixelated). Furthermore, how bad was the jaggies (aliasing)?
And secondly, how are the dungeon designs so far? Are they more like Majora's Mask style of dungeons or are they more like Ocarina style of dungeons?
Thank you very much for your time.

So yeah, obviously, lots of jaggies, color bleeding, and all that happy horse feces.
The dungeons... oh, the dungeons. The one I'm still working on right now--the fourth one--(it's been taking me around two hours so far) is just rough. And it's the FOURTH one. In terms of atmosphere, design, and creativity, these are probably shaping up to be the best Zelda dungeons in any of the 3D titles. The first four I've played through were all quite impressive, though mostly the third and fourth ones.
Masterful level design and some really sinister puzzles await you!
