You should feel guilty that you're not a bigoted bible thumper? I'm in NC and haven't eaten at a Chick-fil-a in 2 years or so because of the shit Dan Cathy spewed and Chick-fil-a's funding to right-wing anti-gay groups.

Eat Bojangles, that's southern chicken done right anyway.

Every Bojangles I have ever been in has been disappointing. There was one in walking distance from my house when i was in Middle/High School and it was always terrible. Give me popeyes, please.

Chick-fil-A >>>>> Bojangles

We just finally got a Popeye's and a Bojangle's in my town (well we used to have a Bojangle's back in the early 80s, but it's back now). I definitely prefer Bojangle's as far as the chicken and biscuits go. Popeye's didn't do much for me, and the biscuits were a massive disappointment after the hype.

Chik-fil-a though, I like their chicken minis and milkshakes.

St Peter: Aah, Mr. Cathy, yes we have been expecting you for some time. You created a wonderful chicken sandwich, despite your company's support of bigoted groups. God has decided that you shall be granted entrance into heaven.

*Jesus walks out*

Jesus: Greetings, Mr. Cathy. Welcome to heaven.

Cathy: Oh thank the lord! Praise him! Thank you, thank you Jesus!

Jesus: My pleasure.

I don't get the appeal of Popeye's. Chicken portions were way too small considering the price and the biscuits were dry and not very flavorful. Their fries were amazing, though. I'll concede that.

this is not a one off location thing either, both CFA near me are like this as well, smiles, politeness. It was almost creepy at first, now its refreshing.
Yeah it was the strangest thing. When I got up and left I was cleaning off the table (I always do this since I worked in food service for quite awhile and know how it is). He comes over and says don't worry I got it and tells me to have a wonderful rest of my day with a genuine smile on his face. I was thinking to myself "holy shit, this guy actually seemed like he wanted me to have a good day, and not just saying it because it's the normal thing to say as a customer".

Fuck it, I'm going to Chuck Fil-A for lunch today lol

I was joking, GAF generally has quite the negative view of south so I was going along. But I'll admit I didn't stop eating there, I generally go when my family wants to and get the spicy chicken deluxe which is always disappointing to me.

I don't generally eat fried chicken honestly, when I do it's usually Popeye's with my coworkers. When I get outside of Atlanta I'll hit up Bojangles occassionally.

^ licensed location. Those are usually worse. Airports, ballparks, college campuses, etc.

Our campus Chicken-Fil-A is just as good as any other, in fact I think it's one of the more successful campus ones in the country.

But dang, looks like I'm going to go get me some chicken today. Lots and lots of delicious chicken.

Last time my girlfriend and I went to Target we swung by the Starbucks right inside the entrance. She likes chai lattes with a little bit of pumpkin spice flavor, but instead she got a pumpkin spice latte with chai. Tried ordering it again, and she got a chai latte AND a pumpkin spice latte. We were gobsmacked at how awful these kids were at their jobs.

Started a delicious chain, except for the breakfast menu can use some refining. Favorite thing to get is the deluxe spicy chicken sandwich with lemonade.

what would you suggest? breakfast's my favorite there

the one thing I'd do is include a spicy chicken biscuit.

Well I'm just glad you were both unharmed.

Really sad to hear this. Was really refreshing to see someone committed to running his business in such a respectable way. People may not agree with his personal views, but with his business ethic there is no debate in my mind.

Zaxby's should be second, fuck that.

And the Habit fucking sucks.

In n out is shit.

I'm on the In N Out bandwagon but I do put it below Smashburger, and my only problem with Zaxby's, even though I love that Wings & Things combo, is the food is so damn salty. Good but salty as all get out.

I've only had chick fil a like twice in my life. It's not that popular in my area. It's amazing chicken though so I'll get it anytime I'm near one.

RIP.

You know. I've never eaten Chick-fil-A. I've heard nothing but good things but never eaten at one. Might have to stop in to the town next door on the way home from work today and buy some.

Truett seemed like a good guy. He created a great chain with great food and service. Its unfortunate that it was associated with hate but I dont think that was ever Truett's intention. The company pays more, has happier employees, and MUCH better service than many competitors. I think more companies should run that way.

Yeah, despite me not thinking their food is the second coming of Christ, I've only heard good things from the employees there.

That waffle and chicken breakfast thing looks promising. But yeah breakfast can be a bit hit and miss.

Now his body will be as dry as their chicken...

RIP old man, hopefully your son doesn't remain a bigot for the rest of his days...

I somehow missed a Chika-fil-a on my meandering tour of the south. It will be on the list next time I head back to the States. I've only heard good things!

I hope it lives up to the hype.

That kinda speech is sacrilegious round these parts.

You know what, I like both but if you let a Bojangles chicken biscuit cool down (I always get the Cajun), shit is rubbery. Chick fil a is way higher quality IMO.
