Chinese Man Food vs McDonalds

yeah mcdonalds is overpriced af here (ontario)

literally no reason at all to ever go there when theres hundreds of better places at the same price/cheaper

lol @ thinking the guy is from the UK

Guy is from the GTA (Toronto)

He is right McDonalds is a rip off for $10 in Canada. $10 Chinese takeout lasts 2-3 meals.

I'm so jealous of places in Europe where Doner shops are super common.

I'd gladly trade them for authentic, non chain, mom & pops burrito joints, which unfortunately still aren't popular here.
Burrito's offer more variety and the flavor spectrum of a burrito simply beats döner.

Its recommended to order the McDouble and/or McChicken.

I can get lunch from McDonalds: a chicken sandwich, cheeseburger, and a drink for under $4. Its still the best value fast food around.

Typical guyanese accent and he's from Ajax, Ontario, Canada. Dish is Guyanese Chow Mein with chicken.

That looks so freaking good. Nummers.
I want to disagree with a combo like that costing 10 bucks but it's been so long since I bought chinese food, I'm not even sure what it would cost.

Damn I want some hood Chinese food now. Maybe it's the exchange rate but you can get that for like 6-7 dollars in the US.

This was my reaction when I went by Lexington in Baltimore. $11 for that much chinese food and a long tray of lasagna (7 & 4 ish). Tasted great.

I've been told by lots of friends in Canada that food, in general, is just a lot more expensive in Canada. McDonalds is a ripoff in the U.S. if you're ordering the combos though. You really gotta just stick to the dollar menu to get a good value, and even then you can spend like $6 or $7 at the chinese take out spot and get enough food for 2 meals, easily. That's why I love Chinese style weddings. Food is always 10x better than a catered american wedding.

While, I do agree that you can get more bang for your buck with chinese food (though a lot of that is getting alot of noodles when the meat is the expensive part). He mentioned getting a drink with the McDonalds, which could easily be 2 or 3 bucks, but I don't see a drink with his Chinese Man food, so yeah, whatever.

I had a pretty good laugh when he mentioned cooking up his dogs. We also have something similar in Vancouver. One place is right next door to McDonald's and both stay busy. I would get Chinese take out every time if I lived closer. I make 2 meals out of it and it tastes great, costs about $7-8.

That's $10? Seems expensive to me for Chinese takeout.

I can get that for $7.

Yep. You can get really good chinese takeout with an ice tea or soy milk in Toronto tax included for $5.65-7. I even know places that have it for $3 or $4, but of course the quality isn't as great and they don't come with a drink

Canadian McDonald's is a tragedy. A Big Mac in its own is near 7$.

They had big mac and mcchicken combos during the summer after 9pm for $4.99.

This is impossible. McChicken on its own costs like $4. I always get the junior chicken instead.

I can get a huge plate of Chinese food with an egg roll and a can drink for $5.75 here(Arkansas). I see no reason for fast food, outside of Taco Bell.(I love it!)
