Now that I think about it, at least China isn't trying to hide what they are plainly copying from. Disney Infinity had a multiplayer mode that was a straight up Splatoon knockoff but tried to disguise it.

The community is starting to get pissed because this kind of thing is all we think of when it comes to "Chinese game development." I don't know if there will be any actual law blowback though, which is what would really be needed for this kind of blatant theft to actually be stopped.
