A lot of the footage in Kung Pow's sequel trailer was actually made up of deleted scenes. You can watch them on the DVD.

As for Kung Fu Hustle. I wouldn't mind a sequel but I'm pretty content with just one movie.

Less sequels, and more films made in the same vein is what I'm after.
And in that regard, Hustle has a prequel! Look up Shoalin Soccer. It's not as good as Hustle, but it's in the film's league, and made by the same people.

Has the sequel ever officially been called off? Odekirk had an update saying he was still working on it a few years ago. Which could have been like 10 years ago at this point. But still.

I heard the update that he found the perfect film, but I haven't heard anything since then. I know he was focused on Jimmy Neutron for a while.

He was writing a Stretch Armstrong movie back when all those random toy films (GI Joe, Battleship, etc.) were getting greenlit after Transformers blew up. Which is both the greatest and worst idea of all time.
