Chris Kohler joins Kotaku ("Features Editor")

Strong gain for Kotaku. Will be interesting to see if Kobun changes his writing at all. I never got the impression that Wired held Chris back but it's such a different outlet.

Nice grab! Kotaku has a diverse group of writers so I'm looking forward to hearing KobunHeat Heat on Kotaku's Split Screen podcast. I loved hearing all about his Japan adventures and collecting games on 8-4 Play.

Wow, what a great get from Kotaku. They continue to be awesome.

I thought that Kohler would go to some place with less day-to-day reporting and closer aligned to traditional publishing like Glixel. But this is way better.

He said some things that have grated on me in the past, but I literally can't remember any of them. I'm willing to give him another shot.

Congrats to both parties, he seems well liked here.

Congrats Chris!

Wired was a bit too mainstream for his wealth of niche gaming knowledge and abilities. I can't wait to see the content he creates with Kotaku.

Also strongly recommend everyone checks out his weekly podcast, Good Job, Brain!, where him and his co-hosts cover a wide variety of trivia topics every week.

Congrats, Chris! Please start doing a weekly podcast. I loved the Game|Life podcast, and you're always great on Retronauts.

Huh! Honestly the last place I expected him to end up, but then again it's still just weird to think he won't be at Wired anymore. Still, congrats!

For those of you who don't know, he is the one who got Iwata/Miyamoto to admit that Pikmin 3 was in development in like 2010/2011.

Also he is a great journalist and a great pick up for Kotaku.
