Christina Hendricks as Wonder Woman?

So Winding-Refn is back on then possibly? cool stuff. His casting choice right now is pretty stupid though. I love Christina Hendricks but she aint right for the part at all.

Haven't seen Drive yet so I'm not too sure about the director either. The problems with Valhalla Rising and Bronson were that the director was just being way too self-indulgent. The leads were fine, he was messing around.

Drive looks like a good Mann homage though. I'm pretty interested in that one.

Her warrior's heart, though only one aspect of her character, is reason enough to take Wonder Woman seriously.

Of course, outside of her own series Wonder Woman generally gets treated like a second-class citizen, a common affliction amongst female characters at both companies.
Serious question: why couldn't she just close her eyes?

edit: nm, just looked it up online. Whoa.

The Cobie pics are shopped. She was never that fit. Closest she was to that was early HIMYM.

And Odette Yustman is hot and all, but she is a stick figure. Might as well get Kate Bosworth.

I agree, but I also think that superhero movies could use something a little bold and crazy at the same time.
If people are that protective of Wonder Woman, maybe the dude could do Deadpool?

mmm...Bridget Regan. I miss Legend of the Seeker. It was cheesy and kinda crap but enjoyable (90 percent because of her)
That was my "cleaning the house" show on netflix. She is soooo pretty.

Yeah, the superhero genre is so stale that messing around creatively actually isn't a bad thing at all I'd imagine.

I take it back, let Winding-Refn go nuts. If it's a failure at least it will be an interesting one (rather than a boring success like literally everything Marvel has made lately)

Let's be honest now, she must have a talented vulva if Justin Timberlake and Chris Pine have farmed around those areas.

You couldn't begin to imagine how much I hate Munn

I hate to be so blunt but whenever I think of the name Olivia Munn the first thing that comes to mind is a _____ dumpster

blank: a bodily fluid

I have no problem with CH playing Wonder Woman, but she doesn't have the right voice for Wonder Woman. That Marylin Monroe-esque voice doesn't cut it.

For the record, saying someone isn't muscular enough is stupid since people buff up for movies all the time. Not tall enough, incompatible face, or can't act is another story.

You know, the more I seriously think about it, the more I wonder who could legitimately play Wonder Woman. And not just look like her, but believably portray that toughness that makes Wonder Woman.

I imagine "tough female" is a character that's the most difficult to portray. Sure, we see little starlets act "tough" in movies all the time, but it's always in manner that's pleasing to men. Maybe they curse a lot or drink a straight shot of whiskey at some point in the movie to prove they're one of the guys, but it's always done in a way that appeals to the masculinity of the male audience, "Heh, she punched that guy out. What a pussy. But I could tame her."

Wonder Woman has to be sexy, yes, but she also has to be genuinely intimidating. I don't know who has the acting chops these days to pull that off. But I'd probably walk out if WW was played by some Hollywood it girl whose acting ability boiled down to "Look guyyyyyys! I can be badass!"

It is a difficult role for all the reasons you describe. Not only does she have to be gorgeous, but have a strong presence when she is on screen. Looks are only part of the casting. Just look at January Jones in X-Men. She looks like Emma Frost, but was as threatening and as strong willed as a wet napkin.

I apologize for my uncouth manner.

It was inappropriate.

But just look at all of them. I've seen so many, different shapes and sizes. And all beautiful in their own way.

Christina Hendricks has a Power Girl physique, Brooklyn Decker would be the better Wonder Woman. Give each their own movie and then come up with a cross-over-movie. This advice is free of charge.

I like Hendricks and all but she looks pretty delicate for the role

Easily fixed with a proper diet and workout regime.

She can be in really good shape if she wants.

I don't think she's bad as she is however.
