Please add Mr. Freeze....a good Mr. Freeze.....not:

I'm not totally against the idea of something like that happening if that's the direction they want to go. A live action Arkham Asylum wouldn't be the most original idea, but fuck if it doesn't sound awesome.

Batman 4 should be 20 years in the future and take elements from The Dark Knight Returns.
I forgot Rachel even existed. :lolMedalion said:The reason The Joker worked because it was Heath Ledger's performance, simply filling in his role with another actor will be a death sentence to Nolan's Batman reboots... and no, Rachel Dawes doesn't count.

Wayne/Batman and some older guy as an older Heath Ledger Joker I'm not sure who though.
I'm a firm believer that if TDK was supposed to set up a third part of the trilogy that needed the Joker, they should just recast the Joker as someone else. No other villain in comic books lives up to the Joker so let's not even pretend a third one with the Riddler or whoever would be anything less than disappointing (even if it wound up being good- which I'm sure it will).
If they do skip on the Joker for part 3 (they originally planned to have Heath in the third), "The Dark Knight Returns" would be pretty great, especially if part 3 has Batman hanging up the cowl "for good."

Never doubt. This grievance will be remembered.Veidt said:I hate to be the harbinger of doom. But there is no way in hell Batman 3 gets the same critical reception nor the same amount of box office success TDK. I say this as a man who loves the shit out of Nolan's films. I'm definitely not counting on it doing as good as TDK in both aspects ( while I think it has the potential to be as good if not better than TDK.) It's just the way things go. Critics love steering on the bandwagon, only to steer it into a wall of hate and bad talk.
Quote me on this, if it gets better reviews than TDK.
What's in it for me, if I'm right?SpeedingUptoStop said:Never doubt. This grievance will be remembered.
If you're right, there's nothing in it for anybody. WE ALL LOSE.Veidt said:What's in it for me, if I'm right?

AniHawk said:Heath Ledger's performance was fantastic, but there's nothing that says the Joker has to look and sound exactly the same from film to film. They touch upon this in the Arkham Asylum comic.
I think if this is a trilogy that ends, there will need to be a Dark Knight Returns. It would be a good way to bring back the characters without them being the same actors, and give a realistic reason why they might behave a little differently (especially if it's been 20-30 years). I don't see Joker saying "you and I are destined to do this forever" and then completely vanishing. He brought the entire damn city to its knees.
EDIT: Yeah, I'm really pulling for JGL as new Joker.
You mean, sorta likeOnPoint said:I agree.
Besides, couldn't it just be someone else as the Joker? Like a completely different Joker. Sorta like how.V passes the mask and idenity on in the V for Vendetta graphic novel
